Kanzy there barely alike. The only thing they have in common is the karts and the mystery boxes in racing. Crash team racing was also more of a real crash game with the walking around character. You can merge cars with the enemy so one can shoot other cars and the other can drive. It's a lot more complex and by far probaly the best crash game in my opinion. Also it has minigames like bowling, stunt tracks with cars and even upgrades/ secrets!

I love playing Crash Tag Team racing. I still play it. Being able to merge with other cars and shoot them down with epic blasters as you race through a theme park to collect power gems to keep the tracks running. Childhood! And I suppose early adulthood too since I still play it

I never really enjoyed playing crash growing up,i was more of a "Spyro kid" myself (ryptos rage and year of the dragon remain to be some of my favorite games of all time). That being said i eventually played Crash warped and crash twinsanity the ladder being one of my favorite games growing up.

You forgot to mention that crash's apperance in the game wasn't changed at all for the Japan release. His apperance was only changed om the box art and in promotional material, and also I was told that Japan had its own unique cutscenes, but I am not entirely shure about this.

To this day, i think Crash Bandicoot is one of the best, and most challenging games out there. The Latest one from 2007 was a disgrace.

If you collect the coloured gems in the game, you unlock deleted concept art and extras. Also when cortex says "All your friends are here" you see a range of bosses that could of been in the game. Cortex also says "It would of been two dimensions, but we ran out of time" implying that the game developers ran out of time.

What I find particularly interesting is the fact that not all Crash games were exclusive to sony consoles. There's at least one iteration of tag team racing that was on the gc as well. It was the only crash game I ever owned myself. My first and only sony console was th ps2 and I got that a while after I got TTR fo the GC. I really loved that game because it wasn't just racing, there was a big open platforming world and played a lot like the simpsons hit and run which was one of my favourite games at the time as well.

I played Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3, Bash and Team Racing for Ps1. After that, I never touched a single one. I remember buying Demo magazines saying that The Wrath of Cortex for Ps2 was trash, then they went on remodeling Crash in the following installment, which threw me off.

2:40 that is not entirely correct. while it was in Mark's studio, Mutato Muzika, it was Josh Mancell that was the composer for the themes in the Crash Bandicoot games (the OG up to CTR). so the real credit should go to Josh.
