I love when you talk about how your life use to be because I feel like I’m in the same position you were once in. I’m a teacher that’s trying to grow her KZbin channel. I’m 25 and I’m going through the phase you spoke about - the partying on the weekend and hating your job. I relate so much to your younger self. I’m glad you made it out of here , looking forward to being in your position in the coming years too 😂❤

If we’re not at the grocery store, we’re falling off is sooo true. ❤❤ My husband used to say that when we end up spending soo much on outside food in a week it was the tax for not prepping for that week ahead of time. Now I’m at the grocery store weekly and sometimes 2x per week and I’ve literally gotten our outside food spend down to $20 and some months $0. AND we’re both healthier and have more energy than before!

Tip #1 resonates so well with me so much because I tend to lose the sight of me when I’m helping others. But I have to remember that I have to see myself first! Thank you Janet for all your tips! Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Sunday Everyone. 🤍💐

Love your tip about walking! Outdoor walks are great, I also like KZbin walking workout channels like Leslie Sansone Walk at Home, Grow with Jo has some walks on her channel, and Gina B from the channel Up to the beat fit has some dance walks like her Divas walking workout!

I’m so happy I found your channel!! Your videos have been so helpful and motivating for me. Working full time and having 2 young kids makes it so hard to find some to prioritize my health. Your tips for meal prepping and saying prioritizing myself is okay I also have a very supportive husband with the whole journey. I do have a question how do you stay motivated when you don’t see movement in the scale?? I know they say non scale victories are just as important is not more important then what the scale says but it’s very discouraging when you’re working out and eating well and the scale is not moving.
@janet.ndomahina5 ай бұрын
I understand how frustrating it can be when the scale isn’t moving. If you think you’re in a plateau, take some time and look at your nutrition and movement. Sometimes i slack a bit on one or the other and that’s what causes the plateaus. 🤗

Question also, what do you recommend as exercise other than walking that would yield the same effect for someone who works on their feet for 8-10 hours a day non-stop throughout the day? It's difficult to endure walking after that..
@j2cute4u4eva5 ай бұрын
If you’re on your feet all day at work then get a watch and track your steps. You’re probably getting more steps than you realize. Marching in place while at work can help get you to 10k. Also because you’re already on your feet if you want weight loss then you need to more so be in a calorie deficit, get in the proper macros for your goal weight (carbs,protein,fiber) and that will help you reach your goals. But to answer your question if you want to be off your feet then you can try floor exercises. There are a lot of videos on KZbin. And you can probably get into strength training too.
@janet.ndomahina5 ай бұрын
Honestly j2cute4u4eva hit the nail on the head. When I used to be on my feet all day a simple workout/doing house hold chores sufficed and was enough to keep me fit. Because you’re already getting in a lot of movement at work you really don’t have to worry about getting in too many steps outside of work. Focusing on your planned exercise and a clean diet is key 🤗
