Exercising 30-90 minutes after eating is a great way to lower blood sugar. Exercise will also help to improve mood, provide an energy boost mid-day and aid with sleep in the evening. This 10 min gentle walking workout is great for anyone wanting to take control of blood sugar levels and get in more steps (whether you have diabetes or not). Total step count today is 1083 steps.
Making exercise a regular part of your life is one of the best things you can do to manage and live well with diabetes. Physical activity is the fastest way to lower blood sugar without medication. Exercise lowers insulin resistance and helps your body convert glucose into energy. Get started today to take control of your diabetes!

Excellent, thank you! I have been doing your short workouts after meal at least once a day. Managed to lose half an inch off my thighs, butts and tummy after a plateau of 2 months.

Loved this workout. I agree doing more workouts in shorter intervals is a great way for me to get more cardio in. I try to do your videos at least once an hour during my workday and by the end of the day I have about 80 minutes of low-impact cardio done.

LOVE everything about this workout! The music -- kind and gentle; the short intervals with a countdown; walking in place between each interval; the pace -- not too fast! I had already read that 10 mins of walking after meals would help control glucose, but walking outside is not always an option, especially now that, in parts of the U.S. it's colder and, with the time change, dark earlier. So this is the perfect solution. Thank you for offering this gentle walk! Would love more like this for variety!! 😊💙

I just had surgery a week ago, but so tired of being idle and wanted to move so I did this gentle walk with you. The 15 sec. Changes made it easy for me and i feel so much better getting the blood flowing. Thanks.

Began your 10 minute beginner chair work out a week ago and just done my first post meal walk-out. Didn’t think I’d make it behind half way but kept saying just another set, just one more set. Overweight, unfit elderly and type 2 with rising blood glucose after falling off the keto wagon. I will get there. I’m puffed out but will try and mange one chair and one walking workout a day. After surgery, I was not allowed to do the intensity I had become accustomed to doing here. But I was given permission to do these beginner short ones. Now that I can go back to doing 30-40 minutes, I found these are great for in between. They've also helped me keep up my progress while healing. I missed 5 days while in the hospital and I was so anxious to see your face and move!

Thank you! I am so grateful you just showed up at my KZbin door. I have increased my outdoor walks from 15 minutes to 30 minutes but feel I need more to regain my health. I am senior and glucose just became a major issue. We are calling it a long medical winter that we don't want to repeat ever. I am subscribed and ready to go!

I always do the Monday workout regardless of level. Jog during the walking segments, add weights, and add other exercises to the end.

I do many of your routines and I just finished this one. My after dinner walk. Just want to thank you for all you do to. You bring hope and encouragement to people who might not be exercising.You have made me realize exercise doesn’t have to be hard to be effective. Hi, only just come across this one. I have done several different ones you have made but think this is the best one for me. Love the format and the preview so you can carry on without stopping. I like the 15 count down it's so enjoyable therefore I know I will do it more often. Like the suggestion someone made about adding weights. --- keep them coming. Thank you.

Hey just subscribed love this starting tonight. Just came from a walk just now. I’m type 2 diabetic I need to loose 70 lbs. Walking 5 days a week on day 3 today wish me luck. I saw that some one committed they do 3 10 min work out of yours thats a great idea, since i need to get 30 mins a day. Thank you

Hi and welcome to my channel! A massive congrats to you for making a plan to walk 5 days a week. Doing 3, 10 min walks is an awesome way to get started. You can split them up as you wish throughout the day, or do them all at once. It's really whatever works for you but splitting them up and doing them after meals will help more with lowering your blood sugar after eating. Thank you for making these upbeat movement videos! I appreciate you 🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing words of inspiration as well, they really help to keep my motivation where I need it to be! I really am grateful that I can exercise! Many of my friends have pain and limitations from injuries! I am 64 and I am doing my best to manage my type hereditary diabetes! I am showing up for myself and my precious life! This is new to me, I didn’t prioritize myself previously! I thought I was doing as well as everyone else! I wish I had started when I was pre diabetic. I was working and caring for my mother and didn’t have the energy or the mindset at that time. Theses videos that I can do at home are so helpful!

Nice! For people with chronic diseases, such as CFS, fibromyalgia, or these days long-Covid, or with other severe and debilitating conditions 10 minutes is often the maximum we could possibly exercise in one go (often less). More of this short snippet approach to choose from would be really appreciated, On the grounds that something is very much better than nothing.

Thank you for your great comment. I create the gentle workouts for the reasons you mentioned since I know it can be hard for people to do more challenging or longer workouts. My hope is that these gentle workouts will give people hope, and they'll enjoy engaging in gentle exercise and movement. I have all of the gentle workouts together in the 'gentle level' playlists.

I love your videos! I especially like the previews of the next exercise. I used to be in tip top shape until I was without Levaxin and Metformin for a year. My health fell apart to the point that I was fainting in public. I got my medicine back and am working on getting my sugar down but have to start exercising from scratch. 10 minutes to start. Excellent. I appreciate you. Today was my first day exercising.

I always forget to say thank you. My apologies. Thank you ! I love your 10 minute walks. I do 3-10 minute walks daily and intersperse them with strength training exercises. I particularly like the mixing of walking and specific exercises. Like 30 second sections. So thank you, thank you. So happy to exercise with you. 🥰

tested this claim out as to reducing blood sugar - sugar was 146 right after lunch, did this workout, retested and I was 119!! thank you!

Love this!! Been away, haven’t seen you in awhile (hmm, reminds me of an old song…), anyway I have been doing a few things - horse squat being one - but knew I needed to jump back on the walking routine. Not diabetic but understand the logic. And I’ve finally dropped below 150; my doc will be pleased as is my bp. Thank you thank you for your awesome content!! ❤❤

Hi jules, i just finished this workout. I think it was beginning level but wanted to do one before bed so thought I would try this. I never had problems with my blood sugar levels but my recent bloodwork showed my blood sugar was 100 and I have always been under 100. Darn. I love reading your remarks in the top corner, it really helps. Thanks again. celine

Yesterday night I added this 10 min walk easy and fun. I exercice morning, afternoon and night. I feel so good and ready to watch tv. 😅 And thank you Jules for te last message about exercices: Healt is not about the weight you lose but the life you gain ❤ it's exactely what I need to read. Before my doctor tomorow cause I will have to go on the scale.😊 and I was to much thinking on my weight. I have to change that. Have a hood day!

thank you for your vids, im very obese and i've tried calorie counting so many times and just not lost weight despite everyone saying its the best way. this time im not counting, just eating better, and doing one of these a day, your 25 day strength training and your 20 min walking exercise on the weekends and i already lost 6lb in 3 weeks plus i feel like i can move so much better now. i've got a holiday in june so i'm using that as motivation to keep going and hopefully by then this becomes a habit and if not i'll find the next motivation until it is a habit

I love your new plan! Eating healthy and getting in healthy movement is a fantastic plan (without the struggle of counting calories). I also LOVE how you're adding in strength training since that will help to get your bones and muscles stronger, and help to improve your metabolism. Losing 6 pounds in 3 weeks is also great progress, and making exercise a daily habit is also something I always recommend as well. It sounds like you're doing all the right things! Just keep with the plan you've set, and over time, the weight will keep coming off (and you'll be getting healthier as well). I'd love to read about your progress down the road if you wish to share it:)

I have tried a number of post meal workout vids and they just don't do it for me. They are either too aggressive, too fast and as a result, I don't feel good when I am done. This vid is the first I have found that hits perfectly for me - the music, the tempo, the moves are gentle and switch every 15 seconds. Thank you.

A great way to end a day's housework of twisting, bending, and reaching i] n uncomfortable and unnatural ways. This gentle routine brought my body back to balanced movement covering all limbs and weight shifting from top to bottom. It served as the BIG period reward at the end of an otherwise grueling day...Anastasia

After meals is a great time to do these workouts. My dietician has said that even just walking for 2 minutes after a meal helps balance your blood sugar & these workouts are a great way to expand on that💖
