Hi Rashmi... whenever I try to do the raising legs and touching ground ( @6 minutes) along with my lower abdomen, my upper legs struggle. Is it because I need to tone my legs too or could I be doing something wrong? Thanks very much for your time x

Acrobatic yoga is not yoga it is acrobatics. For that one needs a lot of core strength. So yes it will develop core strength but in order to perform any kind of acrobatics you need a lot of core strength anyway.

I didn't understand your question. We hold plank for a few seconds after lifting up and down switching from down dog to plank. So we are holding the plank pose.

Sit with your back against a wall when you do kapalabhati. There is slight pressure on the lower back while holding boat pose but if it's unbearable pain you need to work on strengthening your lower back and lower abdominal muscles

I suffer chronic back pain since the birth of my first child and the doctors have suggested yoga or pilates as a way to strengthen my core. The problem is, I am unable to get in to many of these positions comfortably. I am not very flexible and have some weight to lose. Do you have any advice? Even a plank is hard for me to manage :(

You can try the intermediate or advanced abs workouts where the knees are straight. This is for beginners since most people find it difficult to hold with straight knees when they start out.
