10 Pro Tips for playing Zeratul! | Starcraft II Co-Op

Kerisband requested that I make a video showing gameplay tips for Commander Zeratul in co-op. Here are 10 helpful but not exhaustive gameplay tips.

Didn't know that the Shieldguard's "Why are you hitting yourself??" spell had an autocast toggle. It's gonna help fuel my Shieldguard-only meme for sure!

the thing with the reflection shield is if you auto-cast it, it'll waste the ability on Shieldguards who might be far away and you won't have any shields to cast for the next fight. I highly recommend it to practice casting them manualy, more yet, select the specific Shueldguard(s) at the front to cast it so you get actual use from it. A-move your army and have Shieldguard(s) with the active shield selected to move them further into combat, or else some of your units will walk out of it and not benefit - those same units are now in front of the battle and the first ones to take all the hits too.

Well i like Zeratul just as i like this video. Im like that meme guy that made the commander tier list. I like heroes more then armies cuz i suck at micro. Now Zeraul doesnt have manny units. Great video by the way.

Hey ... stop revealing some of my tricks .. About the tesserac towers\cannons cooldown ... a) select the shade cooldown ability on the top bar to reduce cooldown b) if you have 10 cannons only teleport 5 each time -- this way you have allways cannons available

re: trapping the artifact i have a guide on my channel that explains what to look for when making the trap and how to make it. (search the term "guide") re: shieldguard reflect i sometimes forget that this ability exists. i just activate it on 1-2 shieldguards once in a while in a fight.

What does he mean "origin point" every time I find them they are all over the map so how does building buildings in your main trap a fragment. He mean find one one map and do that around it and next one will be there after you pick it up?

Ngl, I have a problem with getting the monelith instead of getting the crystal. If you also have the avatar of essense, you can have your army buffed around every other fight.

Ok, I disagree on some of these statements. Avatar of Essence is mostly the best choice, but not always. If you have continuous stream of units that you have to fight like on Dead of Night, Avatar of Form can easily hold the back side for the whole night while your army defends the front, while AoE can't. The fact that crystals can survive long after avatar despawns also helps a lot in that situation. Also AoF has more pushing power if you want to operate it separately from your army, especially vs Zerg (can be useful on Malwarfare). Additional pro tip: Use P1 on maps like Rifts to Korhal & Scythe of Amon especially if you have mutators that makes army movement difficult (Minesweeper, Lava Burst, Fatal Attraction...) - use observer for vision & mouse rapid fire button to project all cannons at once. Except being faster than keyboard rapid fire, it also makes cannon projections force themselves beneath enemy ground units invading their personal space so you don't have to find spots to project them among lots of enemy units. Before projecting cannons deploy super cloak to protect cannons while they morph & a few seconds after. Funny enough I just showed how that works in my today's video - theme of the video was actually lag. Super cloak is also good vs Heroes from the Storm.

for DoN, you use avatar of essence's buff on abrogators to defend. this can defend the entire top side while zeratul and a few abrogators can cover the southwestern entrance. it may be appealing to authority, but when the best zeratul players like magearna use AoE for every situation, even when there are 5+ mutators, it must be because it's good.

One tip to get the 'That belongs to a museum' achievement. Do it on Temple of the Past, because the search area is easily recognizable (the 4 passages). If your partner is Zerg or if enemy is Zerg, the creep will also help you out.

It's better to do it on map where you can actually trap artifact, so you don't even have to search for it, just activate it!

When I play cannon P2, I put the attack speed on my army units, so my shieldguards can attack quick at the same speed as marines. it's fun to make shieldguard army because it attacks as fast as a marine (when you put all mastery to unit attack speed), and they deal 12 base +1/per artifact

Attack speed buffs don't work on beam weapons. The mastery does nothing for the shieldguards.

@@sebru That's irrelevant, their acutal dps doesn't increase. Attack speed buffs never worked on beam weapons. But if you don't believe me and want to keep wasting points on a useless mastery then feel free to do so.

Avatar of form is powerful for taking care of attack waves... I guess that's the only thing it's good for
