Hey Mike, what do you think of the Saudi Gold Plates that were just discovered and talked about on "Shabbat Night Live?" It looks like a group of evangelicals is in the process of buying them. It looks a lot like Mormon's gold plates to me and seems to tell the same story. Could Joseph Smith's claims be more credible/realistic/plausible than first thought?

Doesn't the book of Job outline. The satan had to ask God permission, to curse Job? I.E. satan has no spiritual power, by de facto, for without God allowing it, he cannot enact this power. God will only allow it for his, righteous, purposes. (usually unbeknownst to satan) satan does hold earthly power, in the form of government, as we read in the temptation of Christ, where satan offers the kingdoms of the earth. that would be my take on question 4

I was a big supporter of Benni Hinn for many years. A few years ago, he came to my country to hold meetings. People came from all over our country. Many of the people were poor, they had to save money for a long time, raise money by doing part time jobs just for the event of their life. We had told some good friends of ours, faithful Christians, about the meetings and they planned for months to go. The meetings started, lots of music, lots of excitement. At some point, Benni announced he will be praying for people for healing. He asked people to bring $100 in order for him to pray for them. The whole audience was in complete shock. My friends were so very hurt and confused by the fact that we had recommended Benni and here he is asking for money from people so poor, they are lucky of they had 2 dollars a week to buy flour for bread and salt. I mean poor. I was done with Mr. Hinn! I went and rewatched videos of him preaching and it was as if my eyes were opened! Wow! I had to repent for thinking he was all that and a bag of chips.

Benny Hinn came to Australia many years ago and I went to his “Show”. I was not convinced that he was a man of God. He was a showman, hiding behind Christianity. I could no longer tolerate his presence so I left early.

The ability to explain why he thinks what he thinks but is honest enough to say this is for your consideration, as he is not sure. That is actually profound. I saw Benny Hinn in Tacoma Washington in1998. When I wanted to sit close to the stage, a man came out and blocked me, saying this place is reserved for pastors and friends of B.H. I got down there the next day, and gave a pastor a prophetic word. When I saw Hinn in Calgary, AB, I bought my disabled friend. He really thought he would be healed, but no one was allowed to sit in front of the stage. Hinn's brother, Henry, only let certain people on the stage--people who did not have an obvious healing, like diabetes. I have never seen Hinn get anyone healed. He is such a liar. Why are people still following him? Consequently, my friend was so disappointed that he wasn't healed.

ANYONE who says Mike winger does this for money is ignorant. I gave his ministry a small amount and apologized for the amount saying I didn’t have much at the time and I received an email back from mikes ministry telling me that the ministry had more than enough for the time being and told me they’d be happy to give my money back if I wanted. I obviously said no but this is so clearly not something Benny hinn and his con job of a ministry would ever do. Mike winger is a solid teacher though I’m reformed in my theology though I think winger is an excellent example of what it means to be a Christian on KZbin and his teachings are absolutely solid. He is my favorite non reformed pastor/teacher. How bout people focus on the bad pastors instead of the good and non heretical ones?

@@mokgadimanaka3682 Hey pal, you may have lost faith in some churches, but every christian is called to be part of a local church, NT makes it clear it's expected of every christian (unless in mission in non-christian areas- even then there should be a constant desire to establish church gathering). There most likely is an imperfect, yet biblical church in reach of you. Getting side issues "wrong" such as tongues, baptism, worship style, mission style, does not make them false teachers. Consider how Paul talks in love about the corinthian church in 1 corinthians 1:4-9, then consider how much that church had wrong! For your own faith, I would encourage joining and committing to a local church

It's when we are alone that we are especially vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy and the deception of false teachers. It sounds as if you have learned more about what to be on the look out for. Certainly, if you are watching a channel like Mike's Winger's here, you are getting solid Biblical teaching; including teaching about false teachers. But they cannot take the place of a community of believers that we belong to where we are fed and encouraged, but also where WE support and encourage OTHERS. I pray you will reconsider participating as part of a local church. 🙏

Thanks Mike - I started my walk listening to Kenneth Copeland tapes not realizing what it was. After years of being involved I began to see the disingenuous chicanery. By 1993 I attended Applegate under Jon Courson . It was awesome teaching and for seven years it was verse by verse expositional teaching! Changed my life and in 1999 I was sent out to start a Calvary Chapel in Oregon. Just celebrated 25 years! All that’s to say Hinns doctrine is so easy to see error when we study scripture context.

I have seen Hinn on TV before (and the other false teachrs). He and they didn't sit well with me. I pray for God's guidance on every sermon I hear. I was deceived by Ravi who seemed to have said the right words but in the end was not filled with The Holy Spirit. Sometimes conviction isn't immediate. I want to suggest that just because Ravi had issues that didn’t come to light for a while, that doesnt necessarily mean his teaching was wrong or unbiblical. He was obviously living a sinful lifestyle and putting up a front, but that doesn’t automatically void his teachings. It’s better to evaluate what he taught in light of what the Bible says rather than in light of his lifestyle. If we reject teaching from anyone that is a sinner, we’ll have to reject everyone other than Jesus. I was never heavily influenced by Ravi, but I just want to caution against “throwing the baby out with the bathwater”, if you will.

I went to a Benny Hinn service years ago. At least 30. Any way he came down into the congregation then. He prayed for me and l didn’t go down. He tried several times. Finally he told me I was resisting the Holy Spirit. Not to fight God. Then he just left me alone and walked away. I’ll never forget it.

I really need you to help me. Back in 93 I was watching Benny Hinn. I had started back in church after drug problems. I had gotten filled with the spirit, praying all the time. While watching Benny at the end of the service. I began feeling joy, unreal joy. He spoke and said; there is a lady you have been bound by drug addiction all your life, your name is Sheila, the Lord has come to deliver you. Believe me I was delivered at that moment. I have never wanted that life again. I like the work you are doing. I think Holy Spirit could use Benny Hinn to call my name, yet the Lord set me free.

He was once one of the pastors of my church but was lead out by the Lord to start a sister church in a near by city! He is truly a born again man of God now, after coming to the Truth!

Mike I love you and your content. I think you did a good job on Benny Hinn. My experience with him was a good one. When I was 5 he came to South africa and my parents went to see him. At the end he did an alter call for those who wanted to dedicate their lives for Jesus (not a salvation call) and I ran to the front. And God has had his hand on me all my life. But yeah, there are many people he's hurt. And he's brought the name of Jesus into disrepute. And that we cannot support

To the person who was wanting to be set free of smoking, I smoked for 20 years, tried multiple times to quit. My weight ballooned from 110kg to almost 170kg. I was set free because I got to a place where I hated it and was only doing it because of addiction, habit, and the enjoyment I got from those deep drawbacks, especially when I was stressed. I got to a place of hating it by saying to God that I knew I needed to quit because of the health aspects, but I couldn't because I enjoyed it. Over time God changed my attitude towards smoking. One day I got half way through a smoke, looked at it, put it out and that was that! That was 12 years ago. I tried one 6 years ago when my wife and I separated and nearly threw up. I knew then for absolute certain God had delivered me. Despite the fact I still crave it, I have no desire for it. I give God the glory for delivering me simply because He did, and when He did, I put on no more weight. I hope that made sense, and I pray this finds you and helps. God bless. Spot on with the addiction question! It is so dangerous to define ourselves by our sin, ie: alcoholic, addict. When I asked the Lord to take my smoking habit away from me, I was suddenly flooded with conviction that I was not allowed to throw a " nicotine fit". The Holy Spirit showed me that that was a tantrum that I would throw to give myself the excuse to smoke. I defined myself as a non-smoker, and I never said I was trying to quit. I am a new creation in Christ.

The best way to quit any addiction is to come to a place where you HATE the sin. Then seek evidence as to why it is unhealthy and how its marketers are there to rob and kill people. I smoked lightly (pack a week more or less) for 35 years. One day after coughing with tickling in my lungs I saw a movie called "Thank you for (not) smoking" and how TGE tobacco companies put 10,000 toxins into tobacco. I made a declaration that I would never give Phillip Morris another %#+€! dime. I quit and have been smoke free since 2009. Now I hate the smell! You have to hate the sin in order to have power over it.

My heart is to help bring healing to all of those that fell for the WOF/NAR and your coverage on Hinn made all my hurt in trusting these guys brought that righteous anger...I shared it with my family members that follow them. Short version of my testimony of fighting nicotine addiction: I prayed for 7 months for God to help me fight the addiction. At some point I just knew it is now the time to quit smoking. I am now no longer a smoker... it is like my brain cannot even remember I smoked. Keep on praying. The Lord will deliver you at the right time. I quit smoking in 2018. I hope this gives hope to someone.

I believe that is the issue. Faith in Jesus heals ppl but some that don't understand go looking for healing out of desperation and this could really hurt new believers. As they see this as a "christian" issue and not just false teachers. We have superstars everywhere. Many started good and got into the show. Really sad. Glad u received from the Father.

I saw Henn back in the mid 80s at a charismatic church i went to for a few years. I was young in the Lord and even then i had reservations about him and many other guest speakers they had at that church. Now i feel my gift is discernment. Re: Question #5 - I was a nicotine addict but was raised, right or wrong, to believe that smoking was a mortal sin that would send you to hell. One night at a revival, I was wrestling with how to quit. I felt the Holy Spirit drawing me to go down front and get prayer. So I obeyed, rededicated my life and told the Lord this. "Lord, you know I love cigarettes and I love smoking, but I love You more. I am quitting right now in the name of Jesus." I prayed for a way to escape so I could endure the temptation and He brought this scripture to my mind, "Therefore submit yourselves unto the Lord, resist the devil and he shall flee from you." So starting that night, I started quoting that scripture and rebuking the devil and his temptation in the name of Jesus every single time I was tempted. In the beginning, it was all the time. Then after a little while, the times when I felt so tempted that I needed to rebuke the enemy and resist grew fewer and farther between. I could have easily still picked up a cigarette at any second, but I was Okay and it didn't have that power over me anymore. I think that scripture means when we deliberately submit our will to His will, He will bless our resistance of evil with HIS power. I wasn't under my own power, it was all His and that's why I was able to resist successfully. But the power in the Word hinges on one's decision to unconditionally submit to what they know is the Lord's will. The instruction to "Submit yourselves unto the Lord" comes first, fulfilling God's condition, THEN, once you've submitted, you get the power to resist the devil and I can say that this really works. I had zero willpower when it came to cigarettes/smoking, I absolutely loved it and I didn't want to quit. But I chose to do what God wanted and then he empowered me to obey His will. Now whether or not I was really going to go to hell because of smoking is a question I don't have an answer for. But God wanted me to quit because my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and smoking was destroying my lungs. I was waking up with chest pain and coughing. I also wreaked from cig smoke. At the end of the day whether smoking itself is a sin or whether it just falls under the umbrella of abusing the temple, it's still bad no matter how you slice it.

I blocked both Jordan Riley and Bible Thumping Wingnut after watching them for a short time and realising there was no Christian content there. It's not about correcting in love but all just tearing others down without Scripture to back up their accusations (or they use Scripture out of context). I've given up smoking for nearly 29 years now! it is hard and is a struggle. I think that the people around adds to the factor too. My smoker friends would not smoke around me and encouraged me not to smoke. also when they knew I was coming round, they would get rid of all signs of smoking and smoke outside their homes, to avoid any temptations for me. I also got into a habit of doing puzzle books (things that would occupy your mind). Stressful situations WILL trigger you to smoke BUT it's also great to get ideas and advice what to do and have something in place. I promised NEVER to smoke IF I was pregnant.... it was really hard, but I was determined to NOT let my unborn child down. Each month that went by, if I felt tempted, I reminded myself, even after pregnancy that IF I start smoking, I would have to start all over again of how long I haven't smoked, which stopped me. Be warned you may have mood swings, but with the Help of God and people around you supporting you, you WILL get through it.

In response to the dreams question; purely anecdotal from stores I have heard and been able to bear witness to - there have been numerous instances of Muslims experiencing dreams of Jesus, and then encountering a follower of Jesus. Following the encounter these individuals turn to Christ and follow him. Some very incredible stories of such dreams and numbers of people in the Middle East turning to follow Jesus. These preachers are very deceptive, slick, and mix truth in with error which makes them deadly. Just because you have discernment, does not mean another will. Not all new Christians will have someone to disciple them or warn them either, so they may be taken in by the deception. I believe there needs to be some grace and compassion here in some cases. Mike, I originally started watching you after God saved me in 2021 but I stopped watching because I was one of those people who felt like you didn't go hard enough on the wolves.
