Number 4 is less important regarding what you read, but just that you do (comics/manga doesn't count). Fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, sci-fi... For me as an author, reading within my genre is absolutely essential to sharpening my imagination. Reading, like no other medium, teaches people how to write. This may bleed over into #6, but I felt like it was necessary to make the distinction.

One item missing that I would add is worship with songs in your private time after prayer. Sing solid hymns and songs that proclaim His excellences and majesty. I added this to my discipline daily and it has brought about a richness in my communion time with Him, starting at 6 AM every day. I have such inner strength when I am done to battle whatever comes my way and knowing that I glorified God at the start of my day gives me great satisfaction. And remember, this time in communion is not to earn any merit or favor with God. You already have his eternal favor and it's all based on Christ's merit and obedience to our Heavenly Father. Praise God!!

It incredibly difficult to make guy friends. I’m 27, in a great church, and in a Bible study of my peers. The girls are all friendly and willing to socialize, but for some reason the guys in the group rarely show up to social events and don’t seem all that interested in actually making friendships out of acquaintanceships. I get that we’re all trying to get our careers going, but they’re isolating so much- and in the process- isolating me.

Thank you for this video and helpful methodology in bettering ourselves as Godly-minded men! While I agree with your list, I feel led to say that I find that many people will miss the message about compassion and confuse it for the ever-present doctrine of agreeing with whatever people say under the guise of compassion, not knowing the truth of the Bible itself (because they didn't do number one and read the Bible daily). I noticed you did a very quick edit after you mentioned the word judge as if to distance yourself from that word, but judging is not wrong; it is simply the ability to rightly divide the word of Truth; to sort through the wisdom of God, which is good, versus the thoughts of men, which are constantly evil (Genesis 6:5). Yes, it is true that the Lord says, "judge not, lest you be judged" and also says, "why do you try to take that speck out of your brother's eye when you have a plank in your own" (Matthew 7:1-5), but many people read the first half of those passages and not the second half, and miss the full meaning. We are to first repent of our sin, and then help others come out of their sins by holding fast to the Word and proclaiming the Gospel of Christ. The Word also says that we (the brethren in Christ, not the evil sinful world) are to judge angels (1 Corinthians 6:3) and that we are to do so by reading the word, renewing our minds daily, repenting of sins, take captive our own impure thoughts and rightly divide the word of Truth, in effect, learning how to judge. We are actually called to judge in love and kindness. If I'm doing something wrong, I'd rather have a church member come up to me and say in peace, kindness and love, "brother, I think you're headed in the wrong direction; is there something I can help you with"; rather than making me comfortable by in effect saying, "I know you're in sin, but do what you want to do, it doesn't matter as long as it makes you feel good". We are not helping someone by sympathizing and agreeing with them in that way, we are doing evil when we do that. Of course, the world uses the word judge to accuse and condemn, which is exactly the process that we need to avoid. I'm just pointing out that true judgment is not wrong it is actually loving when done God's way. True love and real compassion is to say to a brother or sister or even an enemy that they are headed in the wrong direction and that they need to think about what they're doing and reevaluate, not prop up their own feelings (anger against others or themselves, playing the victim instead of truly wanting to repent and remove sin from their lives), or prop up their inflated ego and encourage them to continue to hurt themselves and others. I know that you are encouraging people to be kind and listen to others in that situation, I just felt that too many lukewarm Christians (and those that have not yet truly come to Christ) that might be watching this video will continue to feel that judgement is wrong. It is not, when we do so in alignment with God's Word, Love and Righteousness. He clearly tells us what is good and what is not in the Bible, we must come into full agreement with his Word. Affirmations of how a person feels too often leads to agreeing with the person and advising them to follow their heart, which is actually bad advice, as the Bible tells us that the heart is wicked (Jeremiah 17:9). When a person is struggling with what to do, it is the conviction of the Holy Spirit that leads to repentance and forgiveness; we don't need to agree with them and counsel them to remain in their sin, as psychology prescribes. Understand, I've been deceived and believed the lies of the world in the past and have given advice along those lines before, which I have repented of doing; so now I rejoice that the Lord Jesus has freed me from that particular sin through His Mercy and Love, praise God for His forgiveness upon repentance! May we all renew and deepen our walk with Christ, or those that don't know Jesus, pray for forgiveness, read the Bible, and truly repent and understand that God's word is designed to help us and bring us closer to Him and His Godly perfection, not to be constricting and oppressive. All Praise, Glory, and Honor be to God the Father, to Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen!

what evidence? I can't reject the idea of a God and Creator primarily because nothing can hardly be the cause of everything. There must be a first cause and if a first cause then a first causer, something that is self-existent and capable of creating a universe from nothing at all. creating a globe out of thin air, except there is no thin air. Ya know? and of course that may not be exactly synonomus with religion, but it is the foundation that it stems from.

@@Swiftninjatrev if there must have been a first mover, than you accept that something can either come out of nothing, or be eternal. So if I ask, who created the first mover, you should be satisfied with saying “the first mover did not need a creator, the first mover is eternal”. Apply that same reasoning to the universe. There is nothing that suggests the universe was created or that it came from nothing. To the contrary, everything suggest that the universe is eternal and has always been (from our perspective). There is no creation out of nothing.
