Thanks again Minty. This was arguably one of my favorite NOES movies. Dream Child was my favorite for a while but after seeing this one it was a very close contender. I play and have DM'ed D&D for almost 30 years, so seeing it represented in film and not being demonized (no pun intended) made me happy. Also, now that I'm also in a wheelchair I can identify with the wizzard kid.

The whole glove showing up in evil dead 2 was actually because of a kinda respect war between wes craven and the director of evil dead. In nightmare on elm street one in a scene you can see namcy watching evil dead on her t.v so after doing so the director of evil dead reportedly purposely put the glove in the shed scene as a nod to wes as if saying ok i see you buddy having my movie in yours.

Another great video Minty! One scene from Wes’s original script that never got off the ground (that with today’s effects would look EPIC onscreen) was the D&D enthusiast Laredo (wheel chair bound Will in the version we got) and Freddy’s shape-shifting duel, and instead we got that lame 90 second “Harry Potter” vs Freddy Krueger squash match. Thankfully MOST of this script DOES exist in novel form. If you can find it, pick up a copy of “The Nightmares on Elm Street Parts 1, 2, 3 .. The Continuing Story” by Jeffrey Cooper and you can experience the “meat and potatoes” of Wes’s original vision with a couple of minor adjustments. Definitely worth the read. In fact after reading it and comparing it to the film (which is STILL one my favorite installments, mind you) the only death onscreen that looked better was Phillip’s marionette demise. Definitely more creative than the original vision for sure.

Agreed. That death was so hard to take. But it did provide the most gut-wrenching (no pun intended, Nancy, sorry) moment of the film. I challenge anyone to keep a dry eye when sweet, young Patricia Arquette is holding the dying Nancy and sobbing "I won't let you die, I won't let you die!" Powerful stuff, man. But yeah, Nancy deserved better, and I think she was too wise and experienced to fall for Freddy's tricks like that. Kristen's replacement in part 4 got an even lamer death. Maybe they underestimated what these characters meant to the fans.

Dream Warriors is a brilliant sequel. It' fun and scary but unfortunately it's where Freddy became a one-line dropping MTV character, far from his dark demonic dream stalker origins. As for the poster, back in the day it was a common thing to engage an artist to paint a poster before the film was shot or even cast. As long as there was a green lit script, the poster work was ready to go. Great video!

Well, indeed, back when I was a child and discovered the movies, Dream Warriors was my favorite sequel, at least until Wes Craven's New Nightmare is released. But with the rewatches of the whole series it sort of lost that 2nd place to Freddy's Nightmare, which I consider slightly more likable.
