Re reducing stress. We have three main modes of operating. We can be in 'social engagement mode' where we are relaxed and open to learn and engage with others, and our environment. We can go into FIght or FLight mode or worse still freeze. and they both suppress the immune system. II realised that news reports often trigger me into fight or Flight. I now do grounding, ( literally noticing my feet and the solid ground supporting me) and sense what mode I am in. If I am in Fight or FLight and there is no immediate threat. then I invite my body to go into social engagement mode. My body really changes, and even people and animals react better to me. Take a look at the Polyvagal Theory. Brilliant stuff here !

I have very low self control and will power and used to pounce every new food item or snack I saw and never controlled how much I ate. My favorite part of doing intermittent fasting is that it helped me discipline on when to eat. And keto helped me discipline on what to eat. They work wonders in tandem. The only problem is when you desire same healthy lifestyle to your loved ones they look at you like you're in some crazy sect or something. Even though they look at you and see and acknowledge the result. Getting hit by a health problem may change they way they think about but until then I can't do anything.

Thank you SO MUCH for talking about this!!👏🏻 It’s been extremely frustrating to have this conversation absent during COVID.🤦♀️ I eat differently than you recommend-I’m WF plant based, no sugar, no artificial ingredients, no alcohol. I have been ‘intermittent’ fasting for a couple decades and also do a few longer term fasts as well. I have upped my game with IF after listening to you, thank you! I have maintained a healthy weight throughout life. I mountain bike and hike and practice yoga but I need to reintroduce HIT, meditation and cold showers. Where I’ve not done well is sleep. I wholly believe that our bodies are created to overcome disease as long as we are supporting the immune system. Thank you for this valuable information.🙌🏻

I have not been sick more that two or three days in the last five years. I changed my diet and cut out a lot of the things that Dr. Ekberg talks about. One thing that does concern me though is that he sometimes talks about cookies and other concoctions that are not necessary or useful. Many people who discuss healthy eating also talk about healthy alternatives that of of a similar form to the foods that are killing us. Just change the way you eat. You don't have to come up with some substitute. Just eat something different.

Intermittent Fasting, 8 hours of sleep, avoiding toxic people, meditating daily, along with a mostly clean diet and I rarely get sick. I still indulge in stuff I enjoy once in a great while like champagne and chocolate and other treats. Also take immune boosting herbs etc if feeling even a little rundown and fast.

Fasting has been used as an immunity booster in the past, aswell. Charlemagne used to do it when he got sick.

Another brilliant presentation Dr Ekberg. Obviously i have subscribed to your fantastic channel. This poll you did really shows what people do and i am so glad that i practice all of these topics. I have never felt so good and healthy since the 5th of January when i subscribed to you. I have shed 30 lbs on your keto diet (this diet started on the 5th Jan) and cannot believe it ! By the way i liked your video you did when you were an Olympic athlete , thank you so much.

I can remember my last time being sick was maybe 14 years ago when I had a cold, but I still went to work. A year ago when I had the first flu shot of my life when I was 67 I did feel bad that night with a fever and chills, but it was gone by the morning.

stay away from all jabs. they are full of toxins and make many people very sick.
@stevec38723 жыл бұрын
@@SilverSunPublishing My getting sick from the flu shot just meant that the vaccination was working and my immune system was responding. I received both of my Covid shots with no problems but a little sore shoulder. I believe in science which is not perfect but can learn from it's mistakes. I have no time for conspiracy theories and the nuts who live by them.

I’ve built up my tolerance to the cold so much that I can go into a river in the winter for some minutes then meditate in my shorts for 30minutes all without a shiver. I feel great!

Funny thing is I haven't had the flu since going keto 14 months ago, where I would have gotten the flu at least twice a year. The only thing I got was a 1 day stomach bug where I had mild diarrhoea and vomited once, that was the day after boxing day.

I have pretty much got into the routine of 16/8 Intermittent fasting, and some weight- and High Intensity Intermittent training. I am building up courage to perhaps do a 3-day fast. OMAD also OK with me, but generally going past 24 hours affects my sleeping; I just don't sleep too well on an empty stomach. But given the above, I am maintaining my target weight and also feel pretty bright and alert, generally. My diet HFLC.

What health advice did you have for someone working on third shift? I stick to a pretty strict sleeping schedule and do intermittent fasting and have eliminated (mostly) breads and sugar. Eat healthy,mostly. I run,outside, five days a week, and have been working on third shift for almost 10 uears,now. Thank you,tremendously, for your learning videos. Have learned very much and appreciate what you do.

At 17:00 the good Dr. says "we were never designed for long term stress". Note that we were designed, not a mutation of nature (such a ridiculous idea). God has given us the feasting/fasting pattern in His word. Thank you Dr. Ekberg (and Drs. Fung and Berg) for opening my eyes to the path of health.

Wow what an amazing lecture. Mow I understand why Islam has obligation of cleaning (ablution 5 times a day) n fasting (full month of Ramzan).
@dondasher584 жыл бұрын
I’m one of the ones who get sick often. It’s terrible. I have tried many ways to boost my immune system and some of these ideas interest me. The fasting idea.....how long would you fast? How often? What concerns me about fasting is that if I don’t eat often I get to feeling miserable and grumpy. I’m pretty active with bootcamp style workouts(HIIT mixed in) and box intensely once a week. I’m getting 4-5 hours of some serious workouts in each week. I have cut out bread, as much sugar and processed foods as possible and sugar/soda drinks over the last 6 months.
@spaceghost89954 жыл бұрын
What does "as possible" mean?
@dondasher584 жыл бұрын
Space Ghost some foods still have sugars that I have in the house. So I don’t want to toss all that out. Plus having kids around I need to keep some of those foods around. Granola bars and orange sherbet to name a few. I still enjoy a little with them.
