That is what meditation is, to quiet the mind and should be done as much as possible, not only in your daily hour sitting on a yoga mat staring at a candle or the ocean/forest while chanting om, but extending it to everyday common shores and life routine, therefor avoiding loud people and places should come useful to obtain the most of mindfulness (although I like MINDLESS like Eckhart Tolle does).

I was in extreme long term anxiety for many years. I was taking 80mg pills to lower heart rate advised by a doctor. Yet my heart rate stayed 130-150 and at the same time blood pressure 130 and 170. Than i stoped eating sugar and started intermittent fasting (OMAD) around 2 month ago and now my blood pressure and heart rate is like athletes(HR 70, BP 75,90) even i did not take any pills to control it for two months. Also I dont feel anxiety anymore. My eye bags and fine lines disappeared. My skin looks more fresh I now feel my immune system very strong also. As a bonus for me i lost 12kg weight. I am 40. My height is 5'9" My weight was 72 now i am 60 and i feel very energetic now. Dr. Sten ekberg changed my life thank you very much. ❤️

A few years ago I had a lung infection (pneumonia) and it came natural to stop eating. Only that I had to fake eating to stop people forcing me. This is the madness of today. In the end, I won. When I stopped eating, I lost significantly weight, but I also felt much better, and my fever regulated itself to a healthy level. Cleaning the airplain seat and disinfect hotel room? Isn’t that too much 😲 and even when to be with sick people in one room the person don’t get it cus that means strong body and immunity.

Re reducing stress. We have three main modes of operating. We can be in 'social engagement mode' where we are relaxed and open to learn and engage with others, and our environment. We can go into FIght or FLight mode or worse still freeze. and they both suppress the immune system. II realised that news reports often trigger me into fight or Flight. I now do grounding, ( literally noticing my feet and the solid ground supporting me) and sense what mode I am in. If I am in Fight or FLight and there is no immediate threat. then I invite my body to go into social engagement mode. My body really changes, and even people and animals react better to me. Take a look at the Polyvagal Theory. Brilliant stuff here !

I try to do my best to be healthy, health is the real material wealth. Not money. But health. therefore healthy person is the richest person in the Universe... if you are healthy you can enjoy your life. If not.... than all luxuries , all really beautiful things will faded and become unimportant. Not all people realize this pure truth.

The most significant way to reduce stress in the sympathetic nervous system, by far, is to turn off news about COVID. Quite simply the governments are back at step, one hygiene and avoidance. They seem to have a bad case of OCD with no other understandings for ways to improve potential outcomes. Thank you for this reminder. ❤️🇨🇦

Yes, I agree! Last year I lost my lovely boxer, Honey, to old age. I went into very deep grieving. But then the miniature Australian shepherd from next door started coming over, wanting to play ball, wanting a treat, wanting some hugs. I became able to remember fondly my beloved Honey while at the same time enjoying my new canine friend. I’m now ready for, and indeed see the benefit of, adoption of a new puppy. I always feel better when I have a dog as a friend and to care for.

Dr Ekberg, thank you again for another well explained video.. As you are so able to explain things in such an easy to understand way. Would you consider doing a video aimed at kids explaining why kids should eat healthily. I have kids who are so hard to convince that they should eat vegetables. But like typical kids they never listen to their parents. If on the other hand a ‘Doctor’ was to explain why & what they should eat to be healthily, I truly believe you could help enforce what every mum (mom) & dad are striving to get through to their kids. It’s just a suggestion for a future video. One I’m sure would be much appreciated by so many.

Been steadily getting sick at least once a year before. Started doing a healthy diet a year and a half ago - never been sick since. No meds or flu shots, just eating properly. I have very low self control and will power and used to pounce every new food item or snack I saw and never controlled how much I ate. My favorite part of doing intermittent fasting is that it helped me discipline on when to eat. And keto helped me discipline on what to eat. They work wonders in tandem. The only problem is when you desire same healthy lifestyle to your loved ones they look at you like you're in some crazy sect or something. Even though they look at you and see and acknowledge the result. Getting hit by a health problem may change they way they think about but until then I can't do anything.

I have been ‘intermittent’ fasting for a couple decades and also do a few longer term fasts as well. I have upped my game with IF after listening to you, thank you! I have maintained a healthy weight throughout life. I mountain bike and hike and practice yoga but I need to reintroduce HIT, meditation and cold showers. Where I’ve not done well is sleep. I wholly believe that our bodies are created to overcome disease as long as we are supporting the immune system. Thank you for this valuable information.🙌🏻

I have not been sick more that two or three days in the last five years. I changed my diet and cut out a lot of the things that Dr. Ekberg talks about. One thing that does concern me though is that he sometimes talks about cookies and other concoctions that are not necessary or useful. Many people who discuss healthy eating also talk about healthy alternatives that of of a similar form to the foods that are killing us. Just change the way you eat. You don't have to come up with some substitute. Just eat something different.

I’m one of the ones who get sick often. It’s terrible. I have tried many ways to boost my immune system and some of these ideas interest me. The fasting idea.....how long would you fast? How often? What concerns me about fasting is that if I don’t eat often I get to feeling miserable and grumpy. I’m pretty active with bootcamp style workouts(HIIT mixed in) and box intensely once a week. I’m getting 4-5 hours of some serious workouts in each week. I have cut out bread, as much sugar and processed foods as possible and sugar/soda drinks over the last 6 months.
