@@100percentshipper Also something you didn't mention is how dislikable Harper is to Abby throughout the film. Sure she doesn't want her family to know she's into women, but doesn't mean you treat the person you love like total crap. The fact she spends half her time with her male ex isn't a good look. The ending was so undeserved too. Also her family bar Jane are horrible. How can you make Alison Brie so crappy. Such a strange film. Kristen Stewart is likeable in it though. But Aubrey Plaza totally steals the film and the chemistry she has with Stewart is off the chart. I can see why many wanted Abby to go with Riley.

@@Lez_Go_Travel_Show I love good Christmas movies & I love WLW romcoms! I remember back when I watched D.E.B.S. and Imagine Me & You in the mid-2000s thinking, "We have arrived." Finally, WLW romcoms! I loved seeing movies where the sex of the characters is irrelevant because the story wasn't ABOUT "being gay"!
@DonnaBrooks6 ай бұрын
@@Lez_Go_Travel_Show IDK if I've seen any of your Christmas films. I will say that for wlw films in general the main things for me is chemistry between the 2 leads. Without that, it's not believable enough for me to invest in the relationship. I don't care about race & I don't demand that wlw characters only be played by wlw actors. That's why it's called ACTING. There have been women through the years on TV shows that have had insane chemistry & neither is lesbian or bi IRL. The best example of this chemistry is Xena & Gabrielle played by Lucy Lawless & Renee O'Connor. Crystal Chappell & Jessica Leccia had stunning chemistry as Otalia in Guiding Light which went off the air in 2009 & both are hetero women (although they weren't allowed to kiss on that show & I didn't like their characters in Venice). There are other examples. It's rare for me to invest in movie couples at all because there just isn't enough time to develop the characters & the relationship to the extent the aforementioned couples were developed. That's why I prefer TV couples. The point is that even in a wlw Christmas movie romcom, chemistry is the #1 factor for my enjoyment of the film. Actually being FUNNY is the most important factor for anything that's supposed to be a comedy. And I love dogs. So make me a FUNNY wlw Christmas movie w/ leads with fantastic chemistry & at least one dog & I'll promote the hell out of it! I'm a great salesperson for things I like! 😃

Pepa & Silvia (Pepsi), Tessa & Mariah (Teriah), Biance & Marissa (Minx), etc. I never knew I liked redheads until I discovered these couples & characters! I've loved the whole "black & blonde" hair pairing since Xena & Gabrielle. I love it between Betty & Veronica. My fave romcom is still D.E.B.S., which had the whole black & blonde thing going. I just think they look good together. Of course, I still need to find them both attractive. Piper & Alex were black & blonde in Orange is the New Black, but Laura Prepon doesn't do a thing for me.

@100percentshipper2 жыл бұрын
It looks like you got mixed up. There is no reference to gender orientation in these films (although that would have been great)... And as to sexual orientation - gay people want fun films with joy and peace in them that reflect our reality too. You have a bazillion Christmas films to choose from. I'm sure you can give us these few films without having to drop a homophobic comment.
@DonnaBrooks6 ай бұрын
Please, call it sexual orientation, not gender orientation. Gender used to be a synonym for sex but it means something different now & gender identity erases sexual orientation, thereby erasing LGB & hetero people. There are 2 sexes, no genders, & an infinite number of PERSONALITIES. I wish we'd get back to having personalities rather than "identities". Everyone was so much happier & there was less hate. Identities divide people into tribes & tribalism will destroy us. Personalities allow us to connect with a GENUINELY diverse cross section of people. People should not be punished for not being "black enough" & I don't like the forced teaming of the "TQ+" with the LGB since they are totally unrelated. LGB has to do with sexual orientation, not some invisible gendered soul that exists outside the body & I don't want to be associated with parades where men flaunt their fetishes in front of children. Like most LGB *and* T people, we just want to be integrated into society where sexual orientation or appearance are irrelevant & we can focus our energy into what we can contribute to the world (like the urgent need for wildlife conservation & education re wildlife, for example). We were there!! We achieved that integration. Until the TQ+ forced teamed themselves with us & regressive ideas about race & gender stereotypes, & sexual orientation started setting us back decades & are now making people hate us again by association. It's depressing for those of us who worked so long to get to where we were. Re your comment, this IS a list of wlw movies, so IDK how you can have a list like that w/o the reviewer noticing that the leads are 2 women! 😄 It's not a list of the "All Time BEST Christmas movies ever made" because I can assure you a Hallmark movie is not going to make that list because Hallmark movies are formulaic. They aren't going to become classics that infiltrate pop culture for decades. It's also not a ranking of ALL Christmas romcoms. It's about Christmas films that share a common element like, for example, "Top 7 Christmas DOG movies!" (I'd watch that video, too, because it's about a topic that appeals to me.) So IDK what you expected from a wlw movie list?
