Thanks for the video. The book didn't have much instruction on tightening the chain but your video answered all my questions. Love my Stihl 211-C

Just got the ms-211 c-be yesterday(no manual with it floor demo) ... this video does it all. Very clear and well made set of instructions... Stihl should hire you ;)

This is a great saw. I have owned mine for several years. Very easy to start. Easy to use. Very dependable.

You should always hold up the bar end/nose when adjusting chain tension. Finally tighten down bar, with the bar end in it's upper most position.

Adjusting wheel and screw that holds wheel on bar fell into high weeds when I took cover off. Had no idea I should check that screw for tightness. Must have been made on Monday. Love the easy start though.

PS The choke settings are quite clear .. but when you push the lever down to full .. it just comes back up ? Everything else on the video is excellent thanks.

Did the spikes come with it or did Stephan give it to you? Are you starting woodland or something?

Thanks for the video. Was wanting to pick up the ms211 but was concerned over the wheel on the bar and its durability. Do you find you have to adjust tension more often then the normal side tensioner? Again thanks for sharing
@Mountainbum18769 жыл бұрын
Hollowalone1 Not at all I have used the saw a lot more since this video and haven't needed to adjust the tensioner anymore often than the normal side tensioner. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching!

Is there a difference between the MS211 and the 211c?
@Mountainbum18768 жыл бұрын
Sorry I am not sure.

ZombieFighterOf2001 yes there is. the 211c has easy start and a primmer bulb and quick tensioner

By far the weakest saw I've dealt with. Fine for trimming smaller branches

i own a saw shop and also cut a lot of wood. i also sell saws at my shop and i am a Stihl guy but i have to tell you the new Stihl homeowner grade saws are very cheap built i meen CHEAP BUILT it makes me sick. the 211 is a nice saw but so flimsy the bar cover is so thin you can bend it what the hell Stihl??? the ms 210 230 250 are way better built saws than this new garbage and they come in my shop burnt up all the time. the quality is out the dam window. and that m-tronic is garbage to less power mor fixing its SHIT guys are pissed off huskys are even worse. Hey guys keep fixing those ms 440 460 461 660 they will outlast any of this new shit. i have already removed over 30 661 saws to regular 660 carb and coil. boy do they rip then
@Mountainbum18767 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I agree the plastic cover is a turn off. I did however drop the saw from a height of about 15 to 20 feet and it held up fine. I do love the older stihls and older huskys. They dont make em like they used to.
