A little too late but my wires go through a polypropylene tube that acts as a loom to protects the wires from the sharp edges of the castings. I hope to attach the wiring before attaching ELSR to the lathe bed. Thanks for the extra time explaining the switch movements relative to the controls. Your tour of your future projects is ambitious. For safe operation of the elsr, the trip dogs must return the apron spindle start\stop lever to neural\ lock. The machine is small, but the power is large.

Jaguar window switches. disconnect battery.. pull the window switch panel forward.. leave switches in place.. note there is a hole in the sides of the Switches.. you can stick a small flat needle file thru the holes and between the contacts.. rock the switch the other way so the contacts exert force on the file surface.. drag the file back and forth a few times.. do all 4 switches and where ever the sun roof switch is.. this burnishes the giant silver contact surfaces to restore them to working condition. if that model has turn signal and stop light relay boxes at each corner.. don't buy new.. knock the corner rivets that hold the case close out.. open the cases.. the main circuit board and a second circuit board on top on connecting pins.. resolder the pins.. resolder the other side stacking sockets to the circuit board.. give the relay contacts a quick blast of cleaning spray.. put it back in.. all the lights work again and the bulb out warning is no longer on the dash.. this is a test to help on the rest of the wiring. i.imgur.com/WMDprhm.jpg you may need a longer test lead to hook to the battery in the trunk while doing voltage drop testing.. you will probably also want a 1/4" copper fitting cleaning brush with the tip bent to a 45 to 90 degree angle to allow you to pull fuses one at a time and work the brush thru the fuse clips.. on the monarch switches you just installed.. did you check with your DVOM in continuity beep mode to listen to see if the contacts are good or burned in the switches.. you may have to look at what the switches operate to see if you can calculate a load thru the circuit to verify the switches have enough amp rating.. that style of switch can be 1 amp thru 25 amp rated. with significantly different sized contacts inside.. there are also different spring tensions..
