I copied the Monarch cross feed stop idea and made a miniature version for my little Logan lathe (and have a video on my YT page). I've never been able to get a really good look at the Monarch innards, so thanks for the detailed views. I haven't been completely satisfied with mine because the stop is a little "soft". I think I see what I didn't get quite right about the placement of my thumb screw, but I would really appreciate a close-up of the stop rings and the way it all goes together. Someday I hope to have a 10EE of my own to recondition/rebuild, and will appreciate these videos of yours even more.

Kevin, Thanks for another well done video. Yes, I saw you forgot to put the compound Tee bolts in but you couldn’t hear me trying to remind you. Everything is really coming along great. Looking forward to your next installment. Cheers, Will. BTW, the cross slide finish looks just fine without being ground.

Thanks Mike...I'm hoping she fires right up. It's always interesting to hear "it ran when I parked it"....20 yrs ago but in this case, it ran last about 10 months ago

Nice work here and a spectacular looking result. I do wonder about rust, though. Do you put anything on the unpainted surfaces that aren’t directly oiled?
@fourpondsshop79403 жыл бұрын
Hi Glenn and thanks for watching. I generally put way oil on most raw surfaces and occasionally a rust preventive spray. I haven't had significant rust issues as long as I'm diligent about it!
