I don’t remember where I heard this from it might have been you tbh 😭 but i heard if you treat your future self like a best friend, like cleaning a bit before going to bed, or not procrastinate and do your work early, you’ll feel so much better and I literally try to live by this because it helps so much!

I start getting ready for bed at least 2 hours before bed with an alarm to remind me. My routine includes a SleepyTime tea latte, made with peppermint and chamomile tea, steamed milk and honey with cinnamon. Then I hook myself up to my Dr. Ho machine with a heat pack as I have shoulder pain, followed by flexibility training. This can be stretching, yoga, or tai chi. This is followed by changing into my PJs and doing my skincare, followed by 15 minutes of reading and 15 minutes of meditation. The last thing I do is turn on the Disney Piano Playlist on Spotify and cuddle my cat. It works for me and I remind that self that if I don't follow this routine that's okay.

I will be honest, I used to REALLY struggle with "no devices on close to bedtime" cause i just wanted to snuggle in my bed and watch youtube all night long. But now I have a shut off time at 7pm where i put my phone in the kitchen (ringer off!), and my laptop charges in my mom's room. And it was SO HARD at first cause my brain was cravin that stimulation (my ADHD brain says "hello!") . But now i read magazines/books before bed and i have the BEST SLEEP OF MY LIFE!

I set my phone to automatically turn to grey scale at 10 pm as a reminder that it's bedtime. So I use that one hour to do my "nightshift" and then read a book until my eyes get sleepy. And it always works. Very helpful tips, Lena!

i also do self love affirmations when i do my skincare too! specially when i use my face roller, i try to think about the things i accomplished during the day. if you find it weird to talk to yourself in the mirror or you live with other people and you don't want them to hear you, you can just think them or say them in a whisper. it really helps to appreciate yourself more!

You know Lena, thanks to you I've started "habit stacking" and that means that while I walk on the treadmill or wash my teeth, sometimes I listen to your videos, because they really uplift me and encourage me to be a better person, or at least you make me feel like I deserve to be one. I come from a pretty hard period for my mental health and it doesn't really look like it will get better soon, but you're helping me get the willingness to try. Thank you so so much, God bless you ❤.

This video is spot on! I used to be a night owl and stay up scrolling on my phone or watching movies until I found a consistent night routine. I usually read a book an hour before bed now and it really puts me to sleep. Since I’ve had a night routine I definitely noticed a difference in my energy in the morning. So if you don’t have one, get one!

Thank you so much Lena. Your tips are always helpfull and I like it that you give honest examples out your on life. I am reinstalling my nightroutine. Cause I have fall of the wagon for a few weeks. But I like to make myself a relaxing herbal tea and reflect on my day with my journal and I have a gratitude journal. But I have to work on my skincare and on my sleepschedule. Go to sleep same time and wake the same time every day. It is a struggle for me. But you ate a huge help. Thank you Lena. We love ya ❤❤❤

I love this video so much 💕💕 I have a screen time thing going on for me. No more technology past 9:30pm. I used to hate it but I’m so grateful because now I can sleep 😭🙏 I also journal before bed, it’s so therapeutic because it feels like your getting any overwhelming thoughts out of your head!

Read before bed. Not the entertaining books that spike your adrenaline but something that calms your brain. For me that's a combination of self help books and the Bible. Hope this helps someone, x

I used to sleep around 11 pm. It was phenomenal. Then I met my husband. He’s such a night owl. 1 am is when he sleeps…and you’d think the 3 hour difference is not that big but 😩 seriously is

Wear pjs at 9pm Do skincare b4 pjs Set light Self love affirmations Regular sleep schedule and alarm Do night shift(for next day clean) set future u for success Pray/Meditate/Soothing sounds No screen at least an hour b4 bed Charge in aplace where u have to physically get up Take magnesium glycinate b4 bed Avoid caffeine(8hrs) and heavy meals(2 or 3) Quiet and dark and cool room set future u for success for next day Plan days ahead of time(general idea) Practice gratitude pray

Tip: A vic's cold air humidifier with make it more eazy to breath and sleep better. I don't know if it can make you have worse acne problems though because of the moisture difference between before and after.

My “daytime lights” like my overhead lights and my bedside table lamp feel too harsh on my eyes to have on when it’s dark out, so I have a bunch of led lights and stuff that I turn on at night and that’s one of my cues that it’s time to wind down lol. I love your videos! 💖

I just subscribed to the channel and I really appreciate your videos. I graduated from university less than a year ago. Now I have my first adult job and finding balance and a routine is very hard despite my good intentions.
