My wrinkle black isn’t going to get skidded around on a steel bench top. That’s why I work on my own shit.

Did you watch the video to learn how to do your own work? The place he is sliding it is not painted. Plus they sell the paint.

For goodness sakes that customer's made of $ get ahold of a used or rebuilt unit or upgrade to a Baker bolt it in ? Get the brother in the wind again ...🏍 😉😉

The Baker drop in would be about twice as much as replacing the worn parts and doing what Tatro did here. Same with buying a rebuilt unit and just dropping a used one in would be a crapshoot because how do you now it won’t fail like the old one did if it’s used? He did the standard thing to fix it. It might look time consuming and difficult to the untrained eye but this isn’t that much work and isn’t that expensive in the scheme of things. Especially compared to options you suggested.

Charles Yates wrong. Harley uses a ton of Torx fasteners in parts that I know for a fact are put together and made state side. That might’ve been true in the 80’s but torx fasteners are everywhere and in wide use. It has nothing to do with country of origin.
