Hey Greg A, what will the case and bellhousing support? I know nothing about the diesel trans stuff, so your channel isn't my normal sub, but I typically upgrade the bell at minimum when we north of 500/500 or better to the tire. Is the stock cast aluminum case and bell really that much stronger on these?

Greg and guys. Love the channel, you guys put out some great info on Cummins engines and dodge trucks. I do have a question. About my 2003 dodge 2500 24 valve. I am looking to get into a tuner and crank my truck up a little to Increase fuel mileage. I am planning to use a Aurora 3000 turbo kit with exhaust manifold with new 4 in exhaust, and I'm thinking about a new trans and torque converter. First do you have any thoughts about these parts and second I would like to get a programmer that will give me up to for up to 400-450hp that won't smoke like a freight train. I would like to be able to clean tune and still get the power for towing and additional mpg. Thank you and love the channel Carl Beyer

Loving the videos I live in the uk only cummins I see are few and far between im a big diesel power fan always have been unfortunately I own a rover 75 cdt (compound diesel turbo) but alas it can only have its ecu remapped and then itll only pull 130bhp through the front wheels its good enough for our roads and pollution law's apparently we are outlawing fossil fuels here by 2040 if I wasn't so old id move to the USA for sure keep up the good work im a mechanic by trade its nice to see the enthusiasm for your channel and your heart felt appreciation for your avid followers.......bye see ya bye

Not gonna lie I don't know much about diesels but I'm learning well recently I just put a Cummins 4bt in my Jeep Wrangler and it ran good for awhile then decided to upgrade to a p pump so I did that swapped the timing plates put bigger injectors from industrial injection put a stock 12valve turbo on it I got from eBay rebuilt put a number 8 fuel plate on put a adjustable over flow valve from torq technologies drove it for a few months until it made an aweful noise and I shut it off towed it home with my 12valve and it hasn't started sense and won't even start on either being that you know a lot more about these engines then me I would appreciate if you could think of anything that might be wrong with it

8:18-9:13 Small mistake here, Greg, that may lead people (including you) to buy the wrong shaft. The length of a shaft has no impact on the strength of the shaft. Diameter WILL change the strength of a shaft, but length will not. For a technical explanation and example, see www.engineeringtoolbox.com/torsion-shafts-d_947.html It is easy to see from equation 2c that the maximum torque a circular hollow shaft can take is a function of maximum shear stress (a property of the shaft material) and inside and outside diameters, and NOT of length. Length will affect the angle of twist of the shaft, as seen in equations 5 and 6, however the shaft twisting more due to an increased length does not mean the shaft will fail. I can't think of any reason this twisting of the shaft would be a problem (except, perhaps for vibration), in fact it may be a good thing since it would buffer the torque from the engine to the wheels which may make things less likely to break in other areas of the drive-train. Unless the 4wd stubby shaft is a larger diameter or a better material, then it is a complete waste of money and time to switch to a 4wd tailhousing and shaft, sorry :/. Best of luck to you!

That's not really a ratchet shifter. A ratchet shifter does just that. Has a "center" and you pull/push the shifter to get to the next gear and then it returns to the resting place resetting the ratchet.

Don't think so bud. That's a completely different animal. Look up a B&M Pro Ratchet shifter and observe the function of the shifter. B&M is best known for ratchet shifters, but not the only company spitting them out. I've installed a few in cars and never found them to be satisfying to use.

AllAroundUnderground sort of a cross between a gated shifter, and a ratchet shifter. You are correct though a true Ratchet will return to center or the same position after the gear up or down in forward or neutral is selected.

KtmGuy there are four stages of fuel pins for the ve pump and on top of that there are adjustments that can be done to the pump ..a stage four in factory persition (not rotated is good for a bout 40 horse. Rotating it you can see more gains
