I was diagnosed with a Severe Fatty Liver & Liver Fibrosis in 2018. I have Hemochromatosis & I was eating tons of carbs via pasta, potatoes, bread, rice. I was getting horrendous night sweats & leg cramping at night, plus itchy skin - that’s when I knew something was wrong. Unbeknownst to me - My Ferritin was at 4580 (normal is 0-50). Excess iron damaged my liver, along with it being Fatty from so many carbs. I immediately went Healthy Keto & I’ve lost 150lbs. I went from 321lbs to 170lbs in 2 years, & have maintained that for a year now. My liver is somewhat better, but I don’t know if it’ll ever get back to 100%. So, please everyone out there - get off the Coca-Cola, the pizza, the pasta, rice, bread, & carbs. Dipping your bread into Olive Oil is not going to make you healthy.

You should take NAC and also some herbs for the liver!
@jenniferbecca30502 жыл бұрын
I eat all that stuff, and do IF; never done Keto. My ferritin is in the 40s, and I weight 121lbs at 43 y.o. Look into reading The Zodiac and the Salts of Salvation by George W. Carey & Inez E. Perry, and Facial Diagnosis of Cell Salt Deficiencies by David R. Card. You probably have other things going on, then high ferritin.

Within 3 months after being diagnosed diabetic type 2 and getting strict on my keto & intermittent fasting, almost all the symptoms you refer to in the video & I had just assumed were related to getting older have all but disappeared! Most noticeable has been my hair which has been greasy ever since I remember & had to wash every day, now just needs cleaning once a week to remove dirt. Dandruff has gone & my skin gone from acne prone with both very oily & very dry patches to normal & clear. If only I had known just how much difference diet makes would have saved myself a small fortune on so called remedies because like most people I had assumed this was just how I was.

Thanks Dr Berg!! You're seriously the best teacher ❤️ I used to have spider veins behind my knee and on my thighs. Since doing strict keto and more recently carnivore, I've found they have completely disappeared!! 💞❤️☺️ It took a few years but it's a noticeable difference 😁😁😁😁

I didn't do anything else but keto for past 5 years and carnivore (for past few months). They were really obvious and bulging. Now completely gone.
@curiouscat33842 жыл бұрын
I'm still hoping. I don't think my spider veins or varicose have changed much after 2 yrs on Keto but I haven't been super strict. Can you attribute a significant change after starting carnivore? I think Berg has said in the past that the worse your liver is when you start, the longer it will take to repair the damage. My ugly veins are probably 20 yrs old now :)
@ThePrimal.Podcast2 жыл бұрын
@@curiouscat3384 try to strict ketovore, although it's hard but I believe the results speak for themselves. Even look at Dr Berg over the years, how much more youthful he looks. I'm 40 so I didnt have the spider veins for that long and they are definitely hereditary 🤣
@curiouscat33842 жыл бұрын
Thank you - my question was specifically about whether you think carnivore gets credit for some or most of the change? I agree Berg looks younger now than even two years ago when I started following. I'm committed - just a little scatterbrained about meal planning but you inspire me to try harder :) BTW neither my mother or 5 aging sisters had/have spider or varicose veins so I think it's lifestyle. A lot of what we think we "inherited" is really just living and learning the same lifestyle habits!

It started with sore throat two years back . Then GERD symptoms pop up. Endoscopy confirmed Hpylori infection. Doctor prescribed proton pump inhibitors. After taking these for month and a half got itching all over my body especially in folding areas.Always tired. Six months ago had spiced chips with coke followed by chocolates. Urinated blood at night, diagnosed with UTI. It was followed by acne on back, forehead and dandruff and itching in my head. I'm a very fit person with regular exercise but Nothing was working. Then a month ago I found dr. Berg here and realised I'm eating tons of sugar daily with healthy snacks which included sugarcane juice and fruits in between. Now eating thrice a day with no or very little sugar, no snacking. Taking 1 cod liver capsule and a vitamin b complex capsule daily for the last three weeks and my acne are gone, itching is 95 % less, less irritation, thinking clear for the first time in two years. You are an angel. God bless you dr. Berg.

Hi Doctor Berg! I've got to thank you for the good results of my latest lab tests as far as the liver is concerned. I changed my diet about one year ago, listening to your advice (and to Ivor Cummins as well), lowering the carbs, sugar, fructose and eating good things for the liver. I stopped all alcohol as well. One year ago, my gamma-gt figure was 95 (more than 50% above the advised limit of 61), ... and lo and behold now, one year after starting a better diet and eating better food, I'm back to 61!!! Dramatic! And I really feel better as well. Your videos are really illuminating!

I only just discovered these Dr Berg videos recently. I am overjoyed to have this kind of information. I have been so disillusioned with Main Stream Medicine as they all seem to be little more than Big Pharma reps selling health destroying pharmaceuticals. Not once has a doctor inquired about my eating habits or suggested a test to see what vitamins I might be deficient in...I non avoid doctors and search for holistic solutions....these videos are a God send...thank you so much! P.S. I just ordered your Purified Bile Salts .

Hey Dr. Berg, you say you don't like Radishes? Well doing keto now with your channel since 2016, I have found a little cheat using radishes. If you submerge them and slow cook them in butter until they are no longer red and instead a light pink color they taste just like potatoes 🥔 😋 . I use the radish greens as well but haven't experimented enough to figure out how to make those taste good.

If you do not like the heat of the radish, you can peel the skin it takes the heat away. Although I am assuming that a lot of the nutrients are in the skin. Cooking them tames the heat as well, great cooked in butter. Perhaps boil to soften then sautee in butter.

@@suetucker9264 how much were you taking? What were your levels?
@suetucker92642 жыл бұрын
@@thinkwhileeatingpasta5217 Well, I and my mom were taking about 35,000 a day, only because the doctor prescribed my mom that about a year ago; thus, I thought it was a safe dose to take regularly. I have recently learned it is not. She must have been low or deficient in D for that dosage, which is safe to take for only a short duration. I now know it is not safe to take that much on a continual basis. My mom had too much calcium in her blood, as well as all the symptoms of Vitamin D intoxication. Amazingly, the symptoms of Vitamin D toxicity are the same as a bad UTI infection, which she also had, so a double whammy. I was not tested for toxicity, and I do not have the symptoms of it, but I am stopping it for a while anyway. I plan to resume taking it perhaps in 2 to 3 months at the recommended dose on the bottle.

Good morning Dr. Berg, I've been watching your videos for a couple of weeks so I'm new to your channel but I'm absolutely hooked! I like the information you freely give and I can absorb it because of your delivery method. I love the way you explain in simple english, I love your split screen line items, I love the graphs, the hand drawn body parts and the high-tech graphics you use to elaborate on a specific body part, plant part or vitamin breakdown etc. I've learned more from your teaching in the last couple weeks than any other training videos that I've ever watched from doctors, sports trainers, hobbies I follow etc. I truly like your style and look forward to your next video alerts to pop up on my phone. Thank you for your passion to teach and treat people how to make themselves healthier and how to sustain a healthy body. I've never seen such detailed and absorbable informative videos on trouble shooting bodily symptoms and conditions. You always give a solution to the issue and I've not heard you give a solution that I can't go to the grocery store or my garden or health food store to find the needed supplies to fix it myself, you've not yet sent me to the big pharma yet and I love that. Thank you. I do have a question for you and it's one that really bugs me. I am a facial hair type guy and my facial hair ranges from close cut full beards to cropped long goatees of nearly 12". No matter the length of my facial hair I almost always have a dry itchy chin and mustache area resulting in flakes of dry, white dead skin. Sometimes the itchy spots are so irritating and irritated that I break the shin surface and later from scrubbing my facial hair with Head and Shoulders shampoo it scabs over but as a strange dry white deposit that I have to comb them out with a fine comb. I've used the same brand (H&S) shampoo but various scents for 30 years. The shampoo doesn't fix the problem, is my problem internal and I'm incorrectly treating the symptoms of an internal issue? Thank you so much for your teaching!
