Wowww I just want to get out of quarantine playing like that, I know it’s not gonna be easy, but I promise I'll try and try. I feel great for knowing how to play a few songs that I learned in only 2 months, I mean I'm a complete beginner hehe. Also as I wasn’t able to have a great final school year, I can say guitar saved my life, maybe I wouldn’t be here to say it because I had the most hard times before starting playing it, I heard Colombia's quarantine have been the largest one and I feel so unmotivated, but I know I'll get out of here at any time, and also with a guitar in my hand! If I remember this video, I'll tell you how it’s it going in like 4 o 5 months😉

Jimi was not jamming those fills - they were carefully worked out, the timing is immaculate, every fill adds something different. You get a fair amount of it it right, thank you, but it’s not all there. Check out the top cover of this song on You Tube, that guy nails the fills.

Hey man! Thanks so much for all these videos, your ''easy'' and colloquial way of teaching coupled with your insight as a jimi tribute band player are precious! I know how this will sound but, will you ever come around to deciphering ''Hey baby'' from Jimis Maui 70 concert? I really fell in love with that performance of his, and im still to find someone who has taught it or even someone with tabs for it!
@15MinuteGuitar8 жыл бұрын
Hey Miguel, thank you for your kind words. I really appreicate your feedback. Its always my goal to keep it simple, without jargon and without too much theory to get in the way of the notes, so anyone can play them. Do you have a link to the specific performance that I might take a look at?
@mikkess8 жыл бұрын
Hey! Sorry man i meant Villanova Junction, not Hey Baby, also from Maui. 4musics.info/Jimi%20Hendrix%20-%20Villanova%20Junction%20(2nd%20Set,%20Maui,%2030-07-1970)/ Sorry for the weird link, this song was on youtube a few months ago, but it was removed due to all the copyright infringement stuff. Play the second ''song'' on the link i sent you, the one that isnt a crowd recording, its got pretty decent quality! Enjoy!
@15MinuteGuitar8 жыл бұрын
Ah Villa Nova Junction, yes, I'm more familiar with the version he played at Woodstock - this one is quite the crazy jam - which makes it virtually impossible to tab. Unless I wrote the words "make up your own stuff here" but then that would be across most of the tab! :) There's no tab but Greg does a FRICKIN AWESOME version of the Woodstock take, check it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpDbaIuiZd6JZqc
@mikkess8 жыл бұрын
+15 Minute Guitar Its quite the crazy jam alright, i love that univibe drowned out sound! Its a very different villanova junction, feeling-wise, than the woodstock version. Oh i didnt know greg had covered it! He is goddamn good playing hendrix, if you close your eyes you'd confuse with the record! I already know part of the woodstock version, i think im going to polish it and then take on the Maui version, as crazy as it may be. If by any chance i get something playable i'll get back to you!
