How do the speakers compare to hi fi stereo speakers? Obviously not as good, but how far behind are they in terms of sound quality?

This is a bit of a tough question. If you have a proper speaker setup with an amp, etc. - laptop speaker will never even come close. So it’s probably only fair to look at them in the context of a mobile device - at which point - they are outstanding. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the video ! I also have a Macbook pro M3 max and love it for its performance. Although, you ended up your day with 66% battery left, which is far from what I experience with my macbook. Battery life is, at best, 7 hours use. And I am doing basic task (light coding and web browsing basically). From your experience, do you have any idea why my battery drains as much ? thank you

Thanks for watching!!! Your battery life is interesting. Run some tests and see which tasks are the ones that drain your battery. Web browsing should put very little strain on the battery. Is your screen brightness at 100% the whole time? Are you in extremely hot weather and the fans are working?

I am considering moving away from a Window PC (laptop) to an Apple Mac laptop. I am looking at the Macbook air M3 15 inch vs the Macbook pro M3 14 inch (not the M3 pro or M3 max chip). I am retired and a hobbyist photographer who does very little post editing. I like the size and weight of the Macbook air, but like all the ports available on the Macbook pro 14 inch (especially the SD card reader). Any recommendations would be appreciated!

If you can give up on how light the Air is and the slightly smaller display - I’d go with the Pro. Better display, more ports, etc - go with the 14” pro.

Temperature has never been an issue because of the active cooling system (fans). Performance test running the CPU at 100% for 30 minutes show 1-3% reduction. Hope that helps.

It s 2024 and I m happy that people realised that with 500€ you can buy a tablet with a keyboard and a pen included, from Oneplus, with the latest snapdragon gen 3, 12 gb ram, 256gb of storage, 3k display, bluetooth 5.4, 4 speakers, rather than paying 2000€ for a laptop with 8gb of ram and having to pay 200€ more for every ram upgrade or memory upgrade and let s not even mention the weight of that. I m also happy people are familiar with apple being so greedy and having “Yesterday‘s technology at tomorrow’s prices”

Piracy IS possible on mac. There are lots of repacks of popular apps (adobe, blackmagic design, maxon, and A LOT MORE) on a websites like appstorrent. You just need to search better. I already found 4 websites with pirated software for mac, and when the new M4 max MacBook pro will be released, I’ll definitely buy it

That doesn’t mean the notch is completely stupid, unnecessary, branding, and looks ridiculous when you just give Best Buy a scan. You see modern thin bezel screens, and then the MacBooks with freaking 1” wide/half inch deep notches. Amazing how other laptops manage to fit a webcam in such a small space without needing a notch 🤷🏻‍♂️. It’s annoying cuz it doesn’t have to be there, but it is cuz it’s a way Apple can market themselves. I assume when they go OLED that they’ll magically have some “amazing” tech that allows for a notchless design.
