You know it is quite interesting, I crafted this HC with the intent of having essentially a longer range sidearm lol 180s get out ranged by other short to mid range weapons like 140s and 120s so the engagement radius of 180s is basically out of MOST SMG ranges and sort of the starting ranges of autos and other hand cannons. So if you find that sweet spot with your 180 and have some sort of mid to long range weapon in the kinetic slot then you’re kinda good. OR just avoid the mid - long range engagements and slap a shotty in your kinetic slot and ape like our ancestors :P

I love the 180 hand cannons. Service Revolver is still my favorite weapon. The Frontiers Cry is definitely taking the cake for one of my favorites now. Still have a couple of the older Officer Revolvers that I use, and I can't wait for Posterity to drop for if it ever does.

They are slept on I agree. I just think they’re very situational though. For example in trials, this archetype of weapon would probably leave you at a disadvantage in most games. In 6v6 you can use anything you want and still perform regardless of sbmm.

I've been using my nature of the beast 180 handcannon for years now. Got it with quick draw and range finder and its been putting in work for a long time for me.

I recommend smallbore + slideshot + ricochet + frenzy + MW range on survivors epitaph. With the slide buff just in it's a monster of stats and 3 taps without you having to win a duel. Just need to know how to use frenzy. When both perks are active you have 74 range, 100 stability, 93 handling, 95 reload and 15% more damage.

Try out Well Rounded on Ikelos HC! Rapid Hit is nice, but Well Rounded was buffed to 15 seconds duration, so the uptime is fairly reasonable. It gives 10 Stability, Range and Handling per stack.

are you using these on M&K or controller? on controller i still find the 180s lacking. i want my vulpecula to do better but it just takes too many hits to kill before im beamed down by SMGs. i think if we get some sort of map voting we will see all these underrated or outlier weapons improve in use. cuz some maps are just bad for hand cannons in the current meta.

IMO 180s require a constant dmg+ to be effective in any scenario due to them being possibly being outclassed by even sidearms at their own ranges. However, I do choose to use them as they generally feel better in my hands than 140s which may been cursed to some.

Personally I run a Radiant hunter with frosties the 180 I use is a Surviors with a surplus ,kill clip roll its super dirty being able to get radiant proc kill clip and just keep the train rolling. 180s are SOOO slept on in close quarters. They do have a down side of not having great range you really have to learn where you can dual with them but once your in that range you can out gun anyone with em. Also just adding as many damage buffs as possible with mods is also great.

Thx for the showcase! I really like using my seventh seraph officer revolver in the crucible. It has drop mag, 4th time, timed payload which isn’t the greatest but it’s still fun to use and gets the job done. I feel like the timed payload throws opponents off but IDK.

It was an Ikelos HC that got me through PVP kills for exotic quests. I'm don't PVP a lot, but I was going through all the meta stuff at the time and this 180 somehow did it for me. No clue what the roll was, but every time I find a 180 with a decent roll, I keep it.

I have a West of Sunfall 7 that I have 2200 kills on as a casual. It’s always a four burst. The consistency and feel of that weapon is the best Iv’e ever had. The key is that they dual great while airborne. Come in with your first shot from a jump around a corner then you’ve got a head start on the gun fight. I am going to craft the ikelos though and see how it does.

You should 100% craft the ikelos hc for with subsistence. Because of the origin trait it refunds 2 round when you break and shield and then 2 more when you get a kill with subsistence 3 if its enhanced

Farmed for Vulpecula back in the day for SPECIFIC roll and got almost perfect one : Corcscrew/AccR/KillingW/Adagio Range MW ,last two perks have amazing synergy and can dish out hefty dmg (30%/7sec) at faster speed than 140s at very decent range (30m base w/o perks activated) with great handling, for me its real gem niche one but gem.

180s are my jam for hand cannons, I hate the recoil kick from other hcs potentially covering my target interfering with my ability to track them, and I just like the fast feeling fire rate of the 180. I find it odd that once lunas and nf had their rpm nerfed, people fell off the 180 band wagon hard, though that could just be a testament to how op those hc's were. I know rapid hit is great, but also consider trying enhanced subsistence. When combined with the origin trait, you'll get back the 3-5 shots it took you to kill someone. Seen ZKMushroom go a whole match without reloading.

One thing I’ve never liked was that the precision frames always had much less range than other hand cannons with a much worse ttk. The ttk I’m fine with but the range I am not. I just feel like you always have to spec into range just to compete with the others.

Still have to test it out in pve but I have decked my hunter out with a vorpal reconstruction seventh seraph officer’s revolver with seraph rounds and the lucky pants with triple handcannon loader, saw aztecross use something similar and the damage looked decent as an in between item if I utilize it with a special weapon and heavy that have auto loading holster. I know he was covering pvp for this video but I feel that 180s are decent in pve as well , this also makes me want to take my explosive payload trust out to dust it off in pvp even though I know the result with my skill level will just be me getting stomped on by just about everyone, but I feel like I owe it a dust off since it did help me unlock lunas howl back when it required the quest.

If you like Posterity you may like Frontier's Cry. That thing has insane stats. I have the Meme Max Stability Roll and let me tell you that thing put in a lot more work than I anticipated. Hammer Forged/Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Rapid Hit, Iron Grip, Stability MW. I kept this thing for laughs and then it actually preformed better than my crafted Posterity. •́⁠ ⁠ ⁠‿⁠ ⁠,⁠•̀ Rapid Hit Nullifies the reload debuff from Iron Grip so long as you hit heads.

TV, this might be asking a bit much, but I think it'd be fantastic if you did a good rundown of your suggestions for the best craftable PvP weapons. Being a PS5/controller player, every other video out there seems to always assume people are using KB/M, and I know you're also a skilled PS5/controller player. I'm a pretty average player, and don't always have the time or resources to grind out god roll drops, but with crafted weapons at least over just a bit of time everything can just be crafted up.

180's sharp recoil makes me feel dizzy or carsick when I try to visually track my target's head. The other handcannons have a slightly slower RPM that lets their recoil more gently fall back into place, but with 180s, its a sharp and immediate yank downwards. And to make this worse, Posterity's sight is too thick (and Survivor's model is too thicc) and obscures my vision on M&K with no reticle drag to compensate.

The recoil animation makes them not worth using on MnK. Usually obscures the target's head, which is no bueno when you don't have reticle friction or good body shot damage. There may not be a single primary weapon type I recommend less for mouse.

"Will it consistently win me the Duel? is the only questions i care about. the rest of the time I'm team shooting and this is great for that, but when I'm last guardian standing or moving from A-B alone, a 180 wont cut it often enough. Even though yes 180's can be pretty good, you really gotta lean into it which can be said for any gun archetype really. Personally I cannot stand the recoil pattern of back and towards you, which actually kept me from using Luna's or NF back in the day

I gave 180’s a good shot but went back to literally any other option simply because of the visual recoil. So many times the barrel will obscure what I’m shooting at and where my bullets are going. Coupled with incoming flinch and they become so hard to use that I would rather use anything else. If they reworked the visual noise I would give them another shot.
