I did this same job after watching one your shows from 6 months ago and it helped a ton. It came out perfect. I used the bump stop to find wheel center like Mike said as well.we put the body back on and the wheel was exact center in the well. You've been a great inspiration. Thanks guys

This is great I was working on a 48 Chevy. It is not easy getting your hands on good panels for it up north,they want a lot of $. Yet they made a mil of these trucks but everyone is restoring theirs. I rather have original panels.

I did the front cross member on my 48 like you did. I then moved my small block with the 700r4 forward a little bit. That way I didn't need a trans tunnel.
