Looks good. I like that you show all the "dirty" prep work you have to do on a project, just to get it ready for work. Appreciate your channel!

handyman, I'm surprised your still rocking a corded Dremel tool. I went with the Dremel 8250-5 3ah cordless for $150 a few years ago and lovin it. I use it so infrequently I only need to charge it maybe once or twice a year and it comes with a nice case to keep your shit together. Get one and ditch the time wasting cord!
@Blah-blah-sure3 ай бұрын
Exactly. A lot of corded power tools seem ancient. And only add to the clutter. You’ll notice he has a nice Dewalt 20v reciprocating saw. And a cordless Dremel isn’t too expensive. You might as well go all in.

Gotta watch out for that Chinese drywall! Seriously though I know a contractor that went and did a bunch of work in New Orleans after Katrina. He didn’t know it… after some time people started getting sick, had some weird corrosion or something like that, long behold, Chinese drywall….. he said he got sued really bad, everyone did.

Celotex Corporation is a defunct American manufacturer of insulation and construction materials. It was the subject of a number of high-profile lawsuits over products containing asbestos in the 1980s, eventually declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1990. So that drywall is likely from the 80s sometime.

Dude, how much solder did you use on that first fitting? It looked like a few inches, many times more than you need. Where do you suppose all that extra solder ends up? Except for that, you are the greatest handyman on earth.

Have you ever weighed in on cinch vs clamp for PEX? It seems to be there are 100 different opinions...most prefer the first one they ever used and they all seem to be fine. It's funny how people get so defensive about it. I think everyone agrees that Polybutylene is terrible and that CPVC gets brittle over time and should be avoided if you can use PEX. Copper is great but it's pricey and you have to use FIRE...oh no! That might be a consideration for some job sites which makes PEX the winner.
@TheHandyman13 ай бұрын
I have both. I only use the cinch when I cant fit my clamp in. The only reason is the price of the rings.
