We're looking at a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner in QQ1 (looks like B5, however that code came out in 1969) Blue Paint with a 426 Hemi engine.
We’re talking with the Owner Jeff Fleming. Jeff’s had this car since 2013. Jeff’s a muscle car fan and has several of them and today he shares this one with us.

Hey Lou, here's my car story, since this car is close to what I'm gonna tell you.... Halloween day 1968, my family went to buy a new car at Mintz motors on staten Island. I was 10, my sister was 6. My dad wanted a B5 or QQ1 or whatever it was, blue road runner with a automatic on the console and bucket seats. When we got there my mom and the salesman kinda talked him out of the runner because it was a 2 door, they felt because of us kids the 4 door satellite was a better choice for $2700. I was pissed. So he got the 4 door satellite, with a 318, bench seat, auto on column, in B5 blue instead of the 383 runner with buckets and console shifter. There was a beautiful black hemi gtx in the Plymouth showroom, it was like $3300..imagine? Anyway my dad stopped at the bank as we were driving home, had the car 20 minutes, and some old guy in a beat up station wagon hits us in the parking lot , crushes the whole drivers side rear. We had that satellite maybe 10 years. It looked almost like this hemi runner. Almost. exactly 50 years ago. True story Lou

Love it !! 68 and 69 roadrunners are my absolute favorite cars. B5 blue is my favorite color for those cars along with vitamin c orange. Can't wait to see the charger next, I know it's coming :) It's so awsome to see those 3 old mopars together.

I love Mopars and that guy has a sweet collection of them it was cool seeing that 68 RR and then I see a 68 Charger and a 70 Road Runner behind it made me know I was in Mopar heaven and then the newer SRT Challenger sitting to the side too that was awesome

I love the 68 Roadrunner I had one burgundy with a black vinyl top vinyl interior 383 4 speed and it was loaded with goodies power windows buddy seat a.m. 8 track top Fender turn signals rear defogger light in the trunk and I mean car was loaded with goodies my hat was off to the guy that ordered this car nothing beats a Hemi Roadrunner i had a 68 Belvedere same color as the blue Hemi but mine was 318 and had a sport satellite the same color is a Hemi but it only had a 318 to. Both Beautiful cars thank for bringing back the memories for me

What a great car! I love the color of the metallic blue. And it really sounds like business with the exhaust noise coming from the tailpipes. It almost reminded me of a WWII bomber. My father used to have a '77 Plymouth Volare wagon and it had the same window handles. Thanks for the video, Lou!

Just to clarify....the color code on this car is QQ1, not B5. B5 was not available until 1969. You can see the QQ1 code on the fender tag in the video.

(I’m writing this on my mom’s profile!) 🤦🏼‍♀️You said you were gonna blow the beep beep horn sometime later, and you flat out lied to our faces. Not being rude, but you forgot to do it! It’s the best part about them RRs IMO Here’s a story about my dream car. I call it: Roadie, My Plymouth Roadrunner It was the summer of 2022 (I turn 16 that year). I was walking down the street to hang out at the bowling alley until I stopped at a car dealership. I walked in, browsed around and saw what was my dream car. Brand new, off the showroom floor. And the best part, it was the Limited Edition Road Runner 73rd Anniversary 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. Custom made to look like the cartoon character. The horn was special. It was able to play hit songs from Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Shakira and even Katy Perry! It was made special for me because it said “For Phoebe. Hope you love it!” on the tag. I got the car, and put the license plates on it. It said “Roadie” with a heart next to its name on it. I tested the horn out. It played one of my jams, “Bad to the Bone” by George Thorogood. I drove Roadie around and arrived at the bowling alley. I showed my friends my new car and they screamed with joy. “OMGosh, how did you get it?” One friend asked. “I saw it at a classic car dealership.” I replied. I hugged Roadie and said, “Roadie, my Plymouth Roadrunner.” Hope you liked it
