Manny Sanguillen comes up huge in this game. If ever at PNC take a moment to meet him out past centerfield at his BBQ stand. Gracious to everyone he meets.

That's really cool. I have his 79 card. Odd batting stance and bad teeth.

@@jamestepera3356 exactly...really speaks to MLB’s need for a comprehensive dental plan. Marvin Miller really dropped the ball on that one.

I am a Mets fan and pulled for the O's in that Series (Don't know why) Was the first Series I was allowed to watch all the games even the one's on school night's This was a great series. I have a question for Pirate fans whether you lived through 1979 or not, Have you watched this series (as well as 1971) many times through the years like I have 1969 and 1986 as a Mets fan, Oh as a Mets fan your welcome for Tim Foli LOL!!

I watch them while the current Pirates hit the golf courses while the good teams go to the playoffs.

I remember it well. I was in 10th grade; the Pirates needed to split in Baltimore or face going back home at 0-2. That was indeed a tense game. What made it worse, was I lived in Cleveland, where the Browns fans had an irrational hatred of not just the Steelers, but anything Pittsburgh, so all my friends were pulling against the Pirates just because they hated the Steelers!

Thanks for downloading all 7 of these games. I was only 1 years old when this series happened and I've never seen any of the games. The thing about the game back then that I find crazy is the check swings. I can't count all the times someone went around and they said he didn't. I found myself arguing about the call. 😂😂😂

Its great to watch baseball like it was in my childhood. Some observations: -No constant ads. No ads on walls around the field. There were commercials back in the day but I find the constant ads during a game today annoying, distracting and pathetic. This years WS there were ads with a trip to the mound. Oh, was I ticked. -No plugs for things when every player was running to the dugout after being retired. -No constant stats. I'm a baseball fan. I love stats. But too many, drive me nuts. Back in the day, avg, rbi and homers were enough. Now, you have some players ops, opb, WAR, jock scratch efficiency. No constant numbers. No game situation box in the upper right hand corner. This actually OK. However, you are there to watch the game. PAY ATTENTION to what's going. If it weren't for Cosell's constant blathering. Things would be perfect. Thanks to you for uploading these. Love it. PS; I love what they considered BIG money back then for players.

No loud music, no interviews in dugout during the game. And they actually talk about the game rather than themselves.

The only part I disagree with is, I like knowing the balls and strikes, outs and base situation.
