Columns. Not because it's the most fun or the most challenging...it was never taken seriously as a real puzzle game, even when it was new. But it was the best place for puzzle games to make their case to those of us who flunked out of Gameboy Tetris. Especially with a game mode you could actually solve. Being thrown into collections with games like Sonic, Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage, and Golden Axe didn't hurt, either. Without Columns, I'd miss out on Puzzle League, Picross, Magic Drop, and Bust-A-Move. I'd never have time for Klax. Columns may not be the puzzle game I love the most, but it is my favorite.

I think my favorite SNES puzzle game is Mario's Picross. That counts, right?

Hope you're having a good vacation! And my fave 16-bit puzzler? Well, that would be none other than Tetris Attack/ Panel de Pon. The addictive block-swapping gameplay that lets you move pieces anywhere on the board is still pretty unique in its genre, and whether it's Yoshi or fairies, the game is brimming with gorgeous visuals and an amazing OST. My favorite iteration of the series is probably the N64's Pokemon Puzzle League, but the SNES version still ranks among my all-time faves

Tetris Attack is awesome. I have a SNES emulator on my computer that I almost exclusively use to play the 1P mode when I'm bored.

Favorite Puzzle game, Tetris 2 on Snes! underrated and awesome! A super dumb complaint I have heard about it alot is, th epieces are different, it is not Tetris. but DUH, if u wanted tetris, we already have Tetris. This is tetris 2, a new game. Honerable mentions for Kablooey for SNES, really iit is an awesome one, but iuu gotta read the instructions to figure out how the game works, and when u do,m it ius awesome. Now a fun fact, the amazing DS game called Henry Hatsworth in the puzzling adventure, is an increedible hybrid, 2d platformet metroidvania, and half Tetris atack! The bottom scren is tetris attack the top screen is the metroidvania. The puzle pieces creep up slowly and u gotta press X to goto botom screen and clear them out or they wil mess u up when they arrive on the top screen if not cleared by then. so ugotta run and slash and expore, then pause that and clear the puzzles out. So creative and a realy unique and awesome mashup. chekc it out

I don't think I've ever tried any of these. And for that matter, don't think I've tried any 16 bit puzzle game. You did say for the question, don't go too wild, which I'm guessing not as wild as Google which listed Turtles in Time, MK3, and several other questionable ones 16 bit puzzle games. 😉😂🤣 Yeah, Google wasn't much help, so unfortunately, don't think I've got an answer.
