Restoring and preserving a car in stock form with regular well documented maintenance is what makes the nostalgia of his Acura car collection so emotional. I changed a Supra A80 for a Nsx, you might think i'm an idiot...but i dont regret at all for it. The driving experience and handling is way better than my 93 MIV twin turbo one. The Supra engine is brutal but is heavier than nsx, next to Honda Nsx ,stock vs stock theres not much differences except in straight line . In circuit Nsx is superior. One day people will give the Credit of which this masterpiece deserve Greetings from Europe

It’s nice to see an enthusiast who enjoys driving his cars esp the NSX, it’s a shame that this simple formula wasn’t used for the current NSX which ends production next year. Naturally aspirated rwd cars are my favorite.
@boostedmaniac3 жыл бұрын
NSX is getting axed again? Doesn’t seem that old. I was always kind of wondering that myself. I like the original much more than the newer one. But come 15 years from now the 2nd gen will go up in value because of the scarcity of it. It’s not a bad car, but I think it’s a little overpriced for what Honda/Acura fans are looking for. We were expecting a high revving fun to drive car like the original, not so much an expensive super high tech hybrid. In its price range, it has a lot of tough competition.

Gangster man. I appreciate the passion. That’s what it’s all about. It’s not about domestic vs import or drag racing vs circuit racing etc anymore. Especially when epa is actively trying to lawfare tuning shops. It’s about the drive. The experience that the car gives us and those who appreciate them for more than just transportation. We have to come together. Or else we will all end up in the exact same car. One choice and probably gov issued. I started out with a second Gen fc rx7 na gxl model. 344k miles. Rust issues. I now am into this fox mustang I have. Had a turbo integra that made a touch over 500 wheel. We have to come together and be proud of what we love and educated on the issues. Especially fuels and battery construction. Anyways. Thanks and never give up. Imagine being a kid not sitting in the back seat naming all of the different car makes and models that passed you down the road. Imagine it being one super quiet bland terrible car. Even if it has a lot of torque.

We set up a date and time and he was going to show us his awesome collection. My son was stoked to see an NSX up close The very car in this video. Come that Sunday? No response from Tyson. He blew us off. That pissed me off, but watching my son get upset is what hurt the most. A day later I got the typical "sorry, something came up" BS excuse, but cmon. It's a Honda from the McLaren F1 days, Gordon Murray owns one, Senna helped tune it; what else do you need to know?
@Fastvoice3 жыл бұрын
It was one of the main inspirations for Murrays McLaren F1 plans. He owned one a good while before the F1 was created. His view: "Of course as you know, the engine has only six cylinders; however, the NSX’s very rigid chassis is excellent and would easily be capable of handling more power. Although it’s true I had thought it would have been better to put a larger engine, the moment I drove the „little“ NSX, all the benchmark cars - Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini - I had been using as references in the development of my car vanished from my mind. Of course the car we would create, the McLaren F1, needed to be faster than the NSX, but the NSX's ride quality and handling would become our new design target.”

So the original NSX with pop up headlights is a timeless beauty of perfection and engineering. The revised version of that car without pop up headlights looks stupid. Some things are better left alone. I’m 50yrs old and when the NSX came out it was so impactful on the public for all the obvious reasons. The styling til this day still makes me look. I had a 1989 civic si hatchback at the age of 18, it was brand new, which also had great styling and a great smooth shifting manual gearbox. It was for me at the time a dream car. Honda was so uncanny at getting the best looking style of cars. I’m disappointed in the styling over the last 15 years or so of most of their cars. The current civic hatchback is just plain ugly.
