Well I'll be damned! I came here to see what you were doing with the quadrunner because I have the same thing except it's a 93 that starts hard sometimes. But what really got my attention was the 147 Cub I saw sitting there when you were roadtesting the brakes. That's a great old GT and I hope you got it all put together and are using it.

Have the same rebuild kit did you use the jets and everything else in the kit or just gaskets, also do you happen to remember what your pilot screw is set at during rebuild?

That oil looks like it takes a beating lubricating the engine, transmission, and rear-end.

brother if you could possibly commentate as to what youre doing/why as youre working, - it would belong in the nation archives = small example when you around 13 mins you rotated counter clockwise to set the threads, so when you started tightening there was no chance stripping out?

How hard is it to replacement parts for these machines? I know a guy that is selling a 1995 thats in good shape but I’m a little concerned about finding parts for it .
@EngineersGarage12 жыл бұрын
Luckily mine is mostly complete, so I haven't had to scour for too many parts so I'm not the most experienced. There's a good Facebook group for these, they would know better. But I will say I'm having a tough time finding front brake hoses, but making them with universal motorcycle parts won't be difficult

What stuff use for cleaning?
@EngineersGarage13 жыл бұрын
Brake parts cleaner.
@nobodyspecialdotorgrichard59713 жыл бұрын
@@EngineersGarage1 so it's okay to use brake parts cleaner for carburetors? Serious question There is always oil all over the air filters on my quadrunners, Is that supposed to be oiled somehow? Or is that just what happens from running them?
@EngineersGarage13 жыл бұрын
@@nobodyspecialdotorgrichard5971 I would recommend carb cleaner. Brake parts cleaner, from what I hear, can harm rubber parts if used often. I was replacing the seals so in this case it was okay. Mine tents to get little oily too. Could be a bit of blow by.
@inupik232 жыл бұрын
The air filter is designed that way. In fact, you're supposed to put a bit of oil on the air filter before installing.
