You gosh darn GENIUS! I was really hoping you would do that. The RB is old story now. You should paint the 240 honestly, because you are one hell of a perfectionist. Not saying the wrap looks shit or anything but paint would just bump you to another level up the ladder. But the 1J has been a freaking brilliant move. Can't wait to hear that bad boy fire this car back alive.

@@DIGPLatinodriftking1 for sure! Only issue I'm having committing to it is that I want the older non-vvti 1uz which isnt modern enough to be OBDII and with the laws in Virginia that would be a big issue, converting an OBII car to OBDI, with inspections here.

I said it last video you will regret the 154. If it's a drift car they hate being launched and clutch kicked. It breaks them. You'll need the marlin crawler kit for sure for the 154 if you intend on drifting with it. www.marlincrawler.com/transmission/rebuilt-complete/r154-2wd-hd I had a 154 in my 700hp mk3 supra and hated it. It's a truck trans and feels it. Snapping to 2nd is almost impossible at high revs as they have a cut off to avoid exactly the problem of snapping gears. High rev changes proved to be difficult I had to feel when it was able to slot in. So I would rev it out and have to wait for the stay to go away under decel to change if I was pushing it a bit. Sorta took the fun out of having that type of car. There are kits for the t56 out of the gto or the magnum 6060 t56 out of the Camaro. It's the go to here in Australia once the getrag went extinct almost. They are affordable and if you break one or a part they are easily purchased new or from a wrecker. I'd stay away from a 5 speed as well it limited the gearing badly and 3rd gear is so damn long. Not great for drifting. T56 is a 6 speed. Strong and highly available. I was waiting for my 154 to pop and I was going to do exactly this. I looked into cd09 , getrag, t56 and a few others including the marlin crawler kit 154. The 154 was dead last on that list and t56 is a clear winner. You may need some slight adjustment or cutting of the tunnel but in comparison to the other costs of the gearboxes it's much less . Here is a link Kalvin www.rodshop.com.au/bellhousings/toyota-1jz-2jz/gm-tremec-t56/toyota-1jz-and-2jz-to-t56.html This is what the mk3 supra community have been doing for years now. Both 1j and 2j, big power or just stock it works for either. The tremec tr6060 is for big power the plain t56 is used for more stock applications as it is a little smaller. Anyway I've rambled on now but consider it my dude. For a drift car that's going to get abuse it would be my choice PS You are an attention to detail builder.....and that is awesome I am the same. Love your content.
