My personal take on the meaning of "chen qing" is expression (chen) of feelings (qing). The dead spirits usually linger in the mundane world because of unresolved feelings, and the flute can control them through channeling their feelings. This is speaking to WWX's theory on evil spirits and how to utilize them. Ghosts can follow WXX's order (ling) from the flute chen qing. The view on the formation of ghost is similar to Bleach (the Japanese anime) and reflects the traditional Eastern Asian view of ghosts.

I love The untamed I watch it on Netflicks and this year 2020 I'm 80 Years old. My hobby is watching movies. Netflicks started me on Chinese Dramas and many other movies like Koran Dramas which I love too. I miss my Hollywood Super Stars who are gone now. I love the Guardian too but took me a while to understand the drama, I had to watch the drama a few times to understand the end.

Milady AvenueX. i miss your live stream but i watched your entire over 1 hour long later.it is like podcast but i get to see your expression while playing Hay Day. i wished to be next to when you talk about the Untamed, so we can talk while watching. you are so observant and your comments were right on point. you left me pondering to myself "huh! i didn't think about that. absolutely! well, in buddhism there is nervana- eternal nothingness at the highest level which only Buddha attained it. we humans fail miserably." my favorite scene is lwj drunken moments because he did things that he would not be caught dead doing. I cannot get drunk because I immediately vomit after a few drops of mild alcohol hit my system. thanks for talking for over an hour and i followed you all the way through.

Miss, I just wanna ask if in the book the two were persecuted because of their relationship? Was it known to people or people were suspicious? Well you can read the novel online if you are very interested in it, it's translated on exiled rebels scanlations website :) (beware of graphic smut though) To answer your question though, there is latent homophobia from all the side charcaters tbh but the main guys never get bullied because of that (in any case I think they are too powerful to be bullied anyways XD). The side characters would talk about being a "cult-sleeve" (aka gay) in a very deppreciative tone, but when the main guys come out as being so, everyone is pretty much supportive (especially the juniors). LZ's brother knows everything from the start because he can read his borther like an open book. He's the biggest WangXian shipper tbh XD (it's pretty much the same in the drama as you might have noticed). The others get to know pretty late, and in a very embarassing and not subtle way because literally WWX isn't very discreet about it : during the temple scene at the very end, he shouts to LZ that he really wanted to sleep (as in have sex) with him and wants to do it everyday and that he loves him. And then they get very touchy in front of everyone. So yeah, no way to not realise they are in love XD

I was 10 mins in ealier when the power was cut & i was like, wtf!!! Hope u will do Guardian soon. I rarely watch dramas & films even my own coz i easily got stress. BL was definitely not my cup of tea but Guardian & The Untamed is a different story. Both novel & drama got me hooked not just bcoz of both stories but the fact that both main couples (BaiLong & YiZhan) was like really straight out from both novels (visually & acting). They indeed gave justices to thier characters imo. Hope someday both couples will work in one project together..

the title name was due to the story line being change to a boy/girl love drama is it not? then the fans got wind of it(the cave scene that got leaked) and the story line was changed close to the novel but they kept the title. At least that is my understanding of why

For the differing amount of censoring it could also be the amount of risk their creators were willing to take. One person might want to push things closer to the limits while someone else might want to stay a further distance away.

I am not going to say much because I have never been into "The Untamed". I did watch about half of the first episode and decided it was not my cup of tea. Over the past six years that I have been watching your videos, I have really developed respect for your maturity and intelligence. Most of the videos that you have recommended I have liked. But every once in while you sort of lose it over a drama like "The Untamed". I could never understand what possess you during these episodes. Often, you later admit that these were really not good dramas but you don't regret your behavior at the time. I am not being critical here, just trying to understand this phenomenon!!
