Never cooked a pork chop in my life. Got my Ninja Grill a couple of weeks ago, and set my probe at 150 degrees...and holy crap, the chops turned out amazing! I'm freaking addicted to them now haha I tried several different seasonings on the different chops...and honestly, I think I like just salt and pepper the most.

Hi hi....I'm going to do this one tomorrow - seasoning for ckn thighs won't arrive 'til Wednesday...This one particularly reminds me of my father...he loved what he loved & he'd be smiling & telling me how great it'd be when done...If he was here...I'd have this Grill on his counter top...I always had to wait 'til he went on vacation to sneak into his home & get those new fun appliances set up...after the fact-he loved it & always had a fun story to tell... so when you showcased this...I knew I'd be doing it with joy. Pretty sure you're going to be a "household name" with all our family when I do get to MN.... fun !

Thanks Vita Z...glad to hear it brings back some memories...I had an aunt that would have plugged these new gadgets...I think...she cooked all the time and loved to do it...thanks again and I think you will love these pork chops...they are really good and kinda underrated if you ask me...thanks for watching!

I've been eating these thick bone-in chops for a few years now. I marinade with Liquid Smoke and spices, then cook inside my indoor grill. They were always well cooked and delicious. I am stationed overseas and my Ninja is on the way. Getting impatient after watching your videos!

I can’t say enough about cooking up thick cut meats like that. I have a dual plate grill similar to a Foreman. I crank it all the way up on high and throw a three or four inch roast on it. You would think it would burn on the outside. But have faith. The outside gets a tasty crust but doesn’t burn. 45 minutes later it is the juiciest treat with that crunchy crust on the outside. Almost impossible to do wrong. With a Foodi Grill like yours, you could then slice up a roast like this and fast flash the flat sides to grill them too without over cooking the inside. All incredible affordable. With that auto thermometer, it would get the inside just perfect.

I bought a long uncut boneless pork loin at Sam’s one time for 99c. a pound. That thing was a long as my leg halfway past my knee. It needed to be cut up and sealed as soon as I got home. But those bargains are out there if you shop the right places. Sometimes you just gotta be ready to do some preparations when you get home. Bless those bargains.

How long does it actually take to cook? I got my grill in and tried this recipe, but when I cooked the chops, the temp got to 145 awfully fast and the temp probe turned the grill off in what seemed like 5 minutes
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
It really depends on thickness... and making sure the probe is exactly in the center which can be tricky... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!

Is it worth getting a pro grill if i already own a ninja foodi deluxe. Would you have one over the other? Great vids.
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
I think so...the grill is good for a lot of things that don't need pressure and it's kinda nice to get some grill marks...but..the deluxe will do a lot of the same things and I always recommend it over almost anything else...thanks for watching!

You convinced me to buy a Ninja Foodi Pro Grill. Where did the name Jelly007 come from?
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
I think the grill is worth the money..I have used mine more than expected...my nickname started a long time ago as jelly belly...and eventually got shortened to jelly and then along came AOL and that became my screen name and I just kinda adapted to it...lol...thanks for watching!

I just got some of these 2 inch thick pork chops at Publix to try on my Ninja Foodi Grill I recently bought. I like to use a jaccard on mine and put them in some Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing for 2-3 days and before I put them on at room temperature I like to season them with some Famous Dave's Rib Rub. I'm sure these will come out good on my Ninja Foodi Grill, since the only thing I cooked so far on it was some 1 and 1/2 inch thick bacon wrapped filet mignon, and they came out great for a trial run. Though I find that I have to adjust my cook times because of the carryover, and I'm not use to cooking on this indoor grill compared to my gas grill.
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
That recipe sounds really good... the ninja does cook different than the outdoors grill but I do kinda like the change every once in awhile...I believe you will love the grill... thanks for watching!!!

Would you use the griddle in a cook? I bought the 200.00 foodie grill. I am thinking about buying the griddle. Thank you for your consideration of my request. Take care.
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
I will try to do that sometime soon...I have not used it yet but I do have some uses in mind however it is somewhat limited size and it is not a thick material...meaning it would have more uses in my opinion of it were the same size as and thickness as the grill plate...but I think it could be used for some specific things..I hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
