My Wife relaxes at night by watching her "shows" on Netflix, Prime Video, etc. I, however, choose to watch your videos. Great job, John. I've been looking at the Ninja Grill for the past few days. That would be perfect for the two of us.

So what do you like more the Instant pot or the ninja

Have you done a overall comparison video on the Ninja Foodi Pressure vs Foodi Grill? I have room in my kitchen for just one. My gut tells me I will enjoy the Grill more for the type of foods we cook, but both seem to do almost everything. If you were sent to Survivor island and could only bring one, which would you choose?
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
I would be on the island with a pressure cooker/air fryer just because I think the pressure cooker feature is as important as the air fryer part...hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Seems like the temperatures you show are high from the Ribs coming out tender. I did pork chops to 145 went past 150 while resting. Tho they looked good the were tough. What did i do wrong using the XL? Trying Country Ribs today.
@JohnSanders3 жыл бұрын
I think the difference in the ribs mean a lot... meaning which end of the loin it comes from but... you can let these go higher in temp to get it more fall off the bone... try 185 and it will be more tender... hope this helps and thanks for watching!!!
@moretimeneeded563 жыл бұрын
You could pressure cook them for a bit first

John some nice looking ribs. So would you recommend the Ninja Foodi Grill with or without the probe?

I really like the probe and considering the other items you get when ordering that package it is worth it...thanks for watching!!!
@MadeUpLikeADoll4 жыл бұрын
Could you compare the Ninja fryer to the foodie, to the toaster and if the average daily cook needs all 3 or just 1, and which 1 would that be?
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
I would say all three are useful but I think everyone should have a foodi...or a pressure cooker/air fryer you can do a lot more things with that...thanks for watching!

@@JohnSanders You're welcome, Mr. John. Thank you for responding so quickly. I really enjoyed your Foodi pro model video.

Hey John, like sunnymastiff I bought the grill and love it. I always used a cast iron skillet as I didn't have a grill and really loved the results of my skillet but it left my house stinky for a couple of days and as much as my wife loved the steaks she hated the smell, BUT, this grill has been a game changer. A couple of things I wish it had, more room, LOL. The handles get in the way and I hate them, but oh well. The other thing is, I didn't buy the pro, Sam's Club didn't have it but I have a temp that I put inside and here is my question, my probe shows me a hotter temperature than it actually is, it's calibrated as I have a Thermo like you but when I put it inside with the wire just like yours, I get hotter readings. The other day I cooked a 2" Rib-Eye, I normally cook them on the cast iron skillet to 125 and the carry over takes them to 133 to 135 which is perfect, medium rare, well, when I had the probe in the grill it gave me a reading of 160 so I freaked out and pulled it, I checked it with the Thermo and it was 115 and I tried the Thermo in the same location of the probe inside the grill, anyway, in the end my steaks were rare, not medium rare. I should have put them back on the grill but didn't. Any suggestions, again, both thermometers are calibrated identical and they are both Thermo's. Thanks again for your videos I love them and I'm going to try this BBQ ribs you just did with the Pork Rib.

Hi John, sorry for the follow-up, for the life of me I can't find the second video where you used the pressure cooker, can you post the link, thanks.
@JohnSanders4 жыл бұрын
The only thing I can expect is that the one you were using with the wire was not inserted properly...it is fairly hard to hit the center of any thing you are trying to probe and it is really critical for a perfectly cooked steak...the best idea I know is to check out before pulling it out with the thermapen and then adjust the probe...if way off...to match the thermapen...hope this helps...I'm not sure which pressure cooking video you are referring to...what did I cook?...thanks for watching!

@@JohnSanders When you started this video with the Pork Chops you said you did it in both the Fodi Grill and the Fodi Pressure cooker but because the first time you did it, it didn't come out OK you were going to do two videos, one for the Fodi Grill which is this one and one for the pressure cooker, that's the video I would like to see. Thanks again for the prompt reply and wish you a Happy New Year.

I just saw the info commercial for Emeril’s Pressure Air Fryer. The air fryer lid isn’t hinged. It comes off. Similar to the new Foodi Pro, it has a knob in the middle with buttons down both sides of the screen. At $200, it isn’t cheap. There is a 6 qt. and an 8 qt. It has a stainless steel pot instead of the ceramic coated. Claims it’s certified for canning. Here comes the bum rush.
