JOHN YOU ARE A GENIUS! I tried your method with the burgers and WOW! The texture is above fast food restaurant quality. I used my Optigrill!! It uses colors instead of a probe. I cooked them for the family and even one small one for the dog. I seasoned on tops with umami and pepper. When I was cleaning up the Optigrill, which is simple just put everything in the dishwasher, I looked around and they wanted seconds including the dog!!! Wendys has just lost several customers, including the dog. I hope Kroger never stops selling the 80/20 rolled burger meat and I damn sure hope Tefal never stops making the Optigrill. I love this device no smoke because the grease drains into a dish IN FRONT of the machine and No probe! Perfect steak, fish, pork chops , sandwiches, and burgers each and every time! I have had it since they first came out and no problems. I may buy another just in case they get stupid and discontinue it for another model. A solid machine. Again, thanks for the tip!

Thank you!! It does make for an excellent burger... the texture is totally different...I have saw those optigrills before and they do look like a good way to cook a burger... and I know the feeling of things getting discontinued... seems like if I ever find something I really like Walmart knows... and they quit carrying it...lol... glad you enjoyed the recipe and thanks for watching...(I hope the wife sees how you started this comment off...lol)

John great mayo for your burger . I was surprised as to how much cheddar cheese you added to the burger. I think I would use a bit less as I do not have that much weight to gain. I did a similar thing the other day as I used the 90/10 from Sam'sClub and it was fresh ground before he loaded the case. I used the Weber and it was excellent with the charcoal flavor.. I did not finish them all so I put them in the fridge and then used my Cuisinart steam oven to reheat them and melt the cheese (provolone this time) but even heating with steam for 8 minutes at 400F the center came out did your first one Finished them off with sourdough bread and vidallia onion and roma tomato slices and organic ketchup.

Otherwise, it was an informative video about the grill and slicing the burger from the roll of meat. I've never seen that method before.
