All you will need for this abdominal muscle targeting workout is your mat and a pair of lighter dumbbells. The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 8kg each!
The timer will be on for 40 seconds of work per exercise with 5 seconds rest in between!

So many exercises that I challenge you to perform as controlled as possible and at a pace that allows you to really focus!
The Deadbug is one of my favourites as you can probably tell by now if you have been training with me for awhile! The erector spinae, deeper transverse abdominis and the pelvic floor all are involved and is a fantastic exercise to train yourself to ‘brace’! Think if you were to be hit with impact in the stomach… you would brace! Think about bracing before every movement.
Also, something I think about that is so simple…. If I lie on my back flat and relax I can place my hand under the natural curvature of the lower back. I don’t want this to happen during any exercise involving resistance training whether it is weights or bodyweight. Brace for impact… and think about flattening that lower back into the mat!
I hope you enjoy this longer ab workout as much as I did!! I definitely felt realigned after!

Girl I’m 34, I stop working out regularly at 24 when my mom died. We worked out together every day, so it was heartbreaking and depressing going to the gym without her, she loved lifting weights and passed that to me😁I would start working out again with work out programs at home, but nothing motivated me and encouraged me to keep going. Then I found u, not only are your workouts great, but u make me want to keep going! 🥲 thank you so much! 🥰😁 much love!

So excited to give this one a go! I’ve been with Caroline just shy of a year now. If you’d told me a year ago that one day I would have abs, and that I could survive 20 continuous minutes of ab work, I never would have believed it. @@wendiweramundi2923 completely agree. Just finished. My god the shorter rests and progressing from lower abs to upper and then oblique. Quite a test. The muscles feel WORKED! 💪 Hope you have a fantastic workput too!

OMG I’ve been looking for the hardest 20 minute ab workout on KZbin, and after trying all of the top ones, this is by far the most challenging. The exercises + the short amount of rest time makes this one exceptional. Love it, thank you for making this one! It’s my goal to complete it without needing to stop.

I loved the combination of bodyweight and weighted abs. Dead bug is one of my absolute favorite ab exercises! I completed this after day 44of the epic 3 program.

Loved this workout. Exactly what I wanted: a little bit longer, and variety to hit all the muscles. 8 months ago I had very weak abs.. Wow this was HARD. First I was like "20min isn't that long", but I couldn't finish most of the exercises because it was so tough. Anyone able to keep up must have abs of steel. I'm definitely going to feel this tomorrow

You should do more of these. I personally love separate abs training, and not so much full body. I like to separate legs, abs, etc. And this video is actually really effective.

A solid core workout today! Really took it slow and tried to focus on that form. Definitely felt some shoulder soreness / activation from yesterday towards the end of the workout! Looking forward to seeing what's up tomorrow!

I am a huge fan of Caroline's workouts and her Epic programs, and it would be great to have more of those 20 minute pieces, so busy people like myself could enjoy the in the middle of the week, and not just on weekends, when there is more free time. Thank you again!

Same! Yesterday I was thinking "Where is Caroline... maybe i should do that christmas program again..." I have been doing EPIC 2 again and just finished last week. We are definitely stronger than last year!

I’m 20 weeks pregnant and HEAVILY modified this one. Did a lot of my own thing but I showed up, I feel great, and I got stronger. Thank you Caroline for all of your incredible work and for keeping us strong through all the seasons ❤️

This workout for me was magnificent, I do your abs video all the time, I try to do ten to 15 minutes everyday, so when you drop this one it was right on time. Thank you Caroline you always amaze us with you skills and talents. 💕💕💕

I was told about you from my Weight Watcher's Connect group who know all about you. I made the statement that I was too old to do it. I'm 61 and turning 62 December 28th and another said no, you aren't the oldest one here and that I could do it. I think she is 70 years old. Awesome! I had to take a 15 second break here and there. I always notice that my core have become a little stronger, I can focus on bettering my form now. This felt amazing! Really hard, but rewarding!

same here! but with Caroline you don't feel guilty taking pauses where you need to. you just feel empowered completing the workout and getting stronger each session!

For abs & core, I love classes with dumbbells best of all so I really enjoyed this upload today. I flipped things around and did the Christmas cardio first. I remember doing that last year and really enjoying it. So much upbeat Christmas music in it that I had not heard before so I found myself dancing out a few moves here and there! Caroline knows how to do a really entertaining and varied cardio class where we move in all directions…lots of yoga type moves, plyo, core, and other fun stuff. Til tomorrow!

🔥🔥🔥!! Embrace the burn!!🤩 That was intense, especially with the exercises being similar and building on each other. Solid burn from start to finish! I am finally able to do all the straight leg lower moves without having to alter..over a year in the making! Haha! Exciting to see the gains. I love the deadbug so much as well! Definitely a favorite of mine. Excellent workout I will be repeating time and time again in the future. Thanks so much Caroline! I'm loving this advent calendar so much😆! See you tomorrow!😁
