Welcome to Abundant You with Dr. Kevin! Get ready to torch calories and elevate your fitness with this intense 20-minute treadmill workout for weight loss.
In this session, we'll be pushing ourselves through 8 rounds of high-intensity intervals, each lasting 30 seconds, followed by 90 seconds of rest.
Combined with a dynamic 5-minute warm-up and a soothing 5-minute cool down, this routine is designed to maximize fat burn, improve cardiovascular endurance, and leave you feeling energized!
🏃‍♂️ Warm-Up (5 Minutes):
Get your body ready for the intensity ahead with a comprehensive warm-up routine. We'll focus on increasing blood flow, loosening up your muscles, and preparing your cardiovascular system for the challenges ahead.
🔥 HIIT Workout (20 Minutes):
8 Rounds:
30 seconds of MAX EFFORT sprinting or running
90 seconds of active rest (walking or slow jogging)

I started at 7 and am up to 9. My treadmill only goes to 10. Loving these! Been a couple months along with hot yoga and weights. Haven’t lost weight yet but am feeling awesome!

Hey! Great question. I like both and will add some manual treadmill workouts in the future. The choice between a manual treadmill and a normal treadmill depends on personal preferences and fitness goals. Manual treadmills are budget-friendly and offer a more natural running experience, while motorized treadmills provide consistent speed options. Consider your fitness needs and budget to determine which suits you best. It’s also definitely a lot safer option to do HIIT workouts on a manual treadmill.

Thanks so much for these videos! With eating well and these HIIT videos I’ve gone from 102kg to 90.3kg in 6 weeks! (I also do 30 mins of weights too per day). One question: I am running at 26 km/h (16.5 mph) and it’s a fairly easy pace for me to maintain, I’ve raised the incline to 6% and it’s getting me out of breath each set… is that fine to maintain this and just adjust the incline instead of speed as I progress? Doctor Kevin, is ur advisable to do 40-20-40 mins hiit treadmill workouts on Monday-Wednesday-Friday respectively since you said you should only do two to three times a week?

HIIT workouts are ideal for cardio and fat burn while preserving muscle. Look at an Olympic sprinter body vs a marathon runners body.

On your rest period your treadmill doesn’t stop while your standing on the ends waiting ? The gym ones try to stop if motion isn’t detected Your going 12 I thought I was doing something going 9 😮😮😮😮😮

Yeah, sometimes you have to just tap the treadmill with your foot a few times. I know it’s not ideal. But it can be done!

First time trying and it was intense, didn't quite go to 12 or 13 speed, I sprinted at 10 and that was pretty tough. I like the challenge.

@@AbundantYou I've been doing Zumba and Tabata for about 3 years. I'm always looking to try something new. This is by far the best workout for me. I really do feel the burn throughout the day and my appetite is better curbed.

When you say in running at 6 or 12 etc. What is that km/hr or mins/km or in miles etc. Can anyone please advice. Apologies if I missed it!

That’s the mph speed I’m running on the treadmill. The speed on a treadmill is typically measured in miles per hour (mph). So, when you see settings like six or seven on a treadmill, it indicates the speed at which the treadmill belt will move, with the unit being miles per hour. For example, a speed setting of 6 would mean the treadmill is set to 6 mph. Adjusting the speed allows users to control the intensity of their workout. 💪 which speeds were you doing while sprinting?

⁠@@AbundantYouthank you. I run in km/hr and typically run at about 9 or 10km/hr (6ish mph) and sprint at 12 to 13 km/hr (7.5ish mph). I'm currently trying to increase my sprinting speed whilst maintaining a good base running speed too... I'm training for the London marathon in April 👍👍
