I can now say that I'm one of two people to drive a hay squeeze to a castle! When @jessebounds6795 asked if I wanted to go to Klamath Falls with him and Bill from @CascadeViewFarms to pick up his two new Sunny D Roadrunner squeezes, I said absolutely! While we were down there we also got a quick tour of the factory from Ed and were able to see how they make them from scratch right there in house.
While we were there we also got to see Flint Mcvey's absolutely stunning new squeeze that show the incredible level of craftsmanship at Sunny D!
Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! I was never a fan of the Patreon idea until I realized that I can use it to help others instead of myself, so I created the Patreon Project where we can all combine our efforts to make a real difference in people's lives and make the world a better place! For as little as a dollar a month you can join the group of awesome people already on board and be vote to help steer the ship along the way!

Those punch outs are from when they make the poles for like stop signs, traffic signs and other metal pole signs. In the late 90s I used to work for an over head door company and we used those "leftovers" for the door counter weights. That is the coolest manufacturing operation I've seen in awhile!!

This is amazing. The factory tour is very educational for one who is not from a farming area. To see the thickness of the steel and size of the drill bits is unbelievable. And the workmanship of the guys who do the welding and machining is impressive. Seeing this video and comments impresses on you how important farming is to us and to the economy. This video enables us to realize the importance of a product that perhaps many of us take for granted. Without a good supply of hay, farmers would not be successful. My great grandfather had a farm 20 miles south of Washington, DC, on US Route 1. His children inherited the land and divided it. Part was sold and the women retained lots on one dirt road. My grandfather, being the only male, kept his portion intact, which he later divided for his six children as each married. Of course that was the end of the farm, and my aunts were glad they no longer had to be working on the land. One tractor was the only machine. Many farms in that area disappeared and became asphalt roads cluttered with shopping strips, subdivisions with small lots, and apartment complexes. Seeing that development is sad. So Casey, you are more than a tow operator. You share beauty that still exists in our great country.

Last I heard it was a 3 year wait to get a new squeeze from Sunny "D" which is the only manufacturer now. I was seriously thinking about manufacturing new squeezes. There is so many improvements that could be implemented into the design. I have rebuilt and re-powered a few squeezes throughout the years. I made many improvements to the ones I worked on. I installed a 12.7 Detroit with an Allison tc-10 hydraulic fully automatic transmission in one of them. I added shifter buttons to the steering wheel the allows for instant switching between forward and reverse. If I designed my own squeeze it would definitely have suspension on the drive axle, I was thinking about some type of hydraulic accumulated system system that could be switched to rigid mode with the flip of a switch.

It is fancy because it may be used for loading Cannabis bales or Hemp bales. I call these machines a Bale Squeezer. Alfalfa/Tobacco growers are switching to Hemp or Cannabis. So, we load 30,000 pounds of cannabis bales on Casey's flatbed from the farm to the processing facility is 500 miles. Retail for 1 pound in My State is $5000.00. His load is 150 million. Will you take 1 million dollars Casey to haul it 500 miles? And this is the new America. Medicinal growers in my State can have 4500 plants and recreational growers can have 200 plants. Each plant minimum can produce 1 pound each. If my state law says trucking cannabis is illegal across state lines, then how is that Belushi Farm Products from Oregon are ending up in New Mexico Dispensaries? Tommy Chong's from California are supposed to be coming too! Up In Smoke remastered.

Very cool episode, Casey! I really enjoyed your behind the scenes of manufacturing a hay squeeze. That was some 200 mile ride.

One thing I really love about your content, showcasing other things like your friends' businesses, or exploring abandoned mines up in the hills, or givinghonestreviewsona productthat nobody asked for your opinion. Just something for everyone. And yes, I knew what a Hay Squeeze was because of your previous video(s).
This is why you always practice before trying something new…
