2006 - 2011 Honda Civic Si - How To Replace Spark Plugs 2.0 K20Z3 VTEC

This is the procedure to replace spark plugs for the 8th generation Honda Civic Si. It is for the K20Z3 engine. When you purchase the spark plugs be sure you are purchasing 4 plugs. Some places sells individual plugs, while some sell as a 4 pack.
⚠️WARNING⚠️Do NOT over tighten the spark plugs. Torque for the spark plug is 13 ft lbs.

Thanks for the video, same process for Honda Civic Sport K20Z2. According to the auto shop guy not all compatible brands of plugs have the correct pre-set gap. Bocsh and NGK do.

i think you don't need to remove the plastics on the sides of the engine bay. you can directly but carefully remove the cowlings or the wiper covers immediately

Can Honda Civic sport 2.0 2009 use normal spark plug or have to be iridium?

In the US, the 2.0 should use either NGK Iridium or Denso Iridium.

Is it likely that you'll need to replace the plastic coil packs too or no need?

The coil pack is expensive. There is no need to replace them unless there are signs of damage or there are drivability issues. If you do replace them, you want to get the OEM. Non OEM coil packs may cause CEL. That car in the video now has over 180k miles and it has the original coil packs.

2011 Civic Si does NOT have an EGR. Non-Si which has 1.8L have EGR.
