I saw another video where the guy took out the top bolt first and then was able to sort of rotate the valve and that seem to help get the lower one out.

Great video I keep filling air out of my new gasket where those to wired bolts on the side I'm afraid to tighten to much.Could I possibly have the gasket on wrong or could it go on either side

Is it possible one of the bolts is cross-threaded and not allowing it to tighten up?

Quality video! What problems would a bad EGR valve cause? Ours started running rough with power loss, especially when accelerating. I replaced the plugs and plug wires, and got some improvement but the problem is still present.

There are numerous symptoms of a bad EGR valve besides an engine code. If you google search "bad egr valve symptoms" there is a long list.

The add-on on top of what he said, at least with my model, it generally will throw a check engine

My bolts slipped into some where in the engine bay.looked for them even took the alternator the egr to find that one bolt could not find it.is there a place you just find the bolts.if not my van over 200,000 miles never changed the egr valve if I caint find bolts where did you get you're egr I see they came with the bolts

Split a quarter inch socket on that bottom bolt. Going to have to loosen the generator.
