If you want a louder exhaust note on a 4 cylinder car do NOT delete it. Replace it with a performance one. This rarely turn out sounding good. In this case they kept the resonator on it which helped but if he goes more than that it will sound like complete shit.

I probably agree. I have a 05 Corolla and the muffler is just two bolts instead of being welded and I unbolted it out of pure curiosity and it sounded nice just revving but it sounded bad under load when driving it.

Imo the only mod to help on an n/a 4 cylinder is taking it and swapping it with a Lt1
