I have been searching for some information about this issue for over a year. My car 2015 Q50 will do this every once in a while. I took it to the dealership and I was told there aren't any issues and bring it back when it happens again. Well, it happened yesterday but finally started and then again today, but i was out of a car for 10 hours. The car came on but wouldn't turn over to crank. My husband got in my car and held down the alarm button (i guess) on the key fob and now my car is working again! Hopefully this helps someone because ive been stressed out for years with this issue.

Try cleaning your battery terminals and make sure they are tight. If your starterbwas worked on before. The line probably wasn't tightened at the starter terminal.

Hey man I just got the same problem and I have the same lights as you on the battery light on and the malfunction light, you think is the starter in this case?

I had this issue last night, but before this happened my car made a loud crank sound when I came to a stop. Not sure if that had to do anything with this but it did not start up the next time I tried to start it. It gave me the same 3 lights on your dash, but on the 2nd time i tried to turn it on it worked. Damn I’m worried now that I’m going to go through this soon. If you can please give us an update as to how and if you fixed it and what was the issue. Thanks man and good luck.

A very good bed time story. 16 mins of my life I can not get back. You're talking as present tense as if you're dealing with the issue but the car was already fixed. Look at the vehicle temperature, the car has been warmed up. Hint 🤭-already fixed.

Same issue here it slowly started happening last night it left me at the market for 3 hours.. then it cranked, its leading me to think its the starter.. battery good, fuses good, alternator good.. cant find the relay.. but im sure the relay is not the issue..
