Brandon.....Absolutely one of the best videos made on this......Did you notice a low end power lose with the IMRC lockout kit? I'm about to install them on a 2016 GT......Comment back to me please......✌

Thank you Thomas! Glad this helps! Yes there is a very slight power loss but it’s below 3k. You can feel the engine slightly lugging but nothing of concern in my opinion. You can definitely see a nice power difference once the tune is dialed in though!

@@BrandonChinn Thanks for your reply Brandon.....I have Livernois Motorsports updating the tune.....They're going to turn off the IMRC and read some recorded data to tweek everything as it should be......This IMRC seems to be a bad design on these coyote engines.....I can't wait to delete this from the manifold......I'll subscribe to your KZbin and find you on Instagram.....

Probably the best video on the 18 install. I'm about to put mine on my 16 gt. That evap connection seems kinda sketchy tho. The elec tape definitely is. Didn't come here to talk shit cause I've done way worse... But I was wondering if you know who will write a tune keeping the imrcs for someone who lives in commiefornia.. I'm having a hell of a time finding someone. My manifold has actually been sitting almost a yr and a half... Sucks

Appreciate it man! 😂 yes you are correct it was a sketchy fix. A couple days later we got it squared away though 😎 I believe Lund or Palm Beach Dyno could write you up a tune for it. That’s who I’ve used for myself. Unless you prefer someone more local to you

Frederick Tabb haha that damn bolt pattern 😂 and I appreciate it! And no need to change the injectors UNLESS you decide to go E85. Stock injectors won’t support e85

So....Im installing my intake RIGHT NOW, watching you video step-by-step as I go. I need to add....mine is a 2015 gt model and there are TWO plastic, non-electrical holding clips on the back that make the two electrical (pigtails) connectors impossible to get at. I just ended up breaking them off as that wiribg harness will not be used anymore

The Horseman yes the two pigtails can’t really be seen, it’s more of a feeling and the only way I’ve been able to access it, is by propping up the manifold slightly just enough to reach my hands back there and feel for it. Unfortunately it does get broken off in some cases sorry to be about that man

@@mistafivefivesix Yes absolutely. Vehicle will not start without a tune. As far as which company, you have multiple to choose from. In this video the company that tuned it was Lund

@@BrandonChinn thanks for the response! So I am new to this, I put on a Roush CAI. I haven't removed the sleeve so it is not 105mm, yet. I am going to add this intake to my 2015 GT. After I add this intake, then remove the sleeve in the CAI so its 105mm, load a tune and I am good to drive it? I dont need a dyno right? A tune through the OBD2 is good enough? Sorry for the newbie questions.

geno brown hey! So you would need a tune no matter what. When switch from a 15 manifold to 18 manifold it will be pulling in much more air then normal so the car will not run unless you get a tune for it

Grab a pair of pliers and try it. It’s not going to be reused so if you have to break it it’ll be okay

In a 2018 GT, is it necessary to upgrade the intake manifold, the roush performance one for exemple?, also can it be tune by lund X4/sf4 ? Does this tune apply for a intake manifold roush, jlt intake, kooks headers, and a cat back? Thanks

EZy Win so the manifold doesn’t need to be upgraded at all. The 18-21 manifold is actually very efficient. As for the tune, if you’re going to get tuned by Lund you must have an Ngauge for it to work. They can’t tune on sct tuners. And the tune is mainly for just the intake and manifold. The headers and exhaust don’t need a tune

Brandon Chin ok cool thanks you, I saw the cobra jet manifold even for a 2018 the power will increase? Also can a GT with full bolts on can be driven daily? Like the way to college and back( 15miles) or will it get problems?

EZy Win yeah the cobra jet manifold does get the most power but not by what I would consider worth it. It also costs the most to upgrade between the manifold itself, and intake and throttle body. And yes a vehicle with full bolts on can be driven daily. That’s basically my car and I drive it everywhere lol

Those plugs don’t get reused since we no longer have the IMRCs in it

My ported intake is coming in next week for my 2015 GT that already has a JLT intake. Any dyno results? I'm hoping to clear, or surpass, the big 500hp mark

The Horseman either works! I prefer to disconnect the pump directly as that is what I’m used to doing. Plus I don’t want to lose the fuse either. I’m terrible when it comes to that stuff. I 3 boxes of separate fuses for when I lose them 😂

If you do IMRC lock out kit this shouldn’t be a problem correct ? You unplug all the connectors out the back of the manifold and tuck them away ?
