I think people just like throwing s*** at any Lincoln. I dont care what they build and how nice it is. It can be light years ahead of the competition and people will still stay something bad. This company is trying to turn itself around. Its not an overnight fix. I think the MKZ and MKC is a good introduction to a brand that's at the beginning of a makeover. Many other luxury brands look boring in design, handle worst, and is more pricey but because of the badge (BMW, Audi to name a few) people automatically say it's better, cooler, and more prestigious. Lets keep it real. Yes Lincoln has work to do but this is a nice car and a should be given the respect it deserves in it's segment.

I work for Ford and have spent a ton of wheeltime in these MKC's. Soft leather everywhere, open-pore wood grain and top notch engineering. I have driven plenty of GLK's, Q5's and X3's and I think the C has a nicer balance between sportiness and comfort (You can make an MKC ride like a Town car on the highway or you can make it handle like a Fusion in the corners with just a touch of a button), while undercutting even the cheapest offering from Germany by $5,000. It's a solid product, Lincoln will do well in this segment with this vehicle.

In Canada it's about $55k fully loaded but in the US I believe it's about $48,000 loaded up.

I love my MKC. I had it for 3 years i always had 6 cylinders or 8 but when i drove this car with a 4 cylinder engine i fell in love with it you won't belive the power it has .

It may have the same platform as of the Ford Escape but it actually looks like a luxury type of the Ford Edge that's gone compact.

Wow this car looked felt and really is a serious car to be considered, I feel this is he first Lincoln after almost 4 years of Lincoln rebirth that has what it takes to rival the Germans like Audi Q5,BMW X5, Benz The Acura RDX is plain and boring,so is Infinity, cant tell anything about the new Lexus though, but if Lincoln is going in this direction, they will find success, the launch of Lincoln in China is smartest move made by Lincoln as well, its sure to eat a good share of pie out of Germans out there

Why is everyone complaining about the cost? Well i'd like to remind y'all this is supposed to be a luxury brand with prices that match the competition. Actually less for example the Q5 starting out cost a shade under 38k, as for the Lincoln starts at 33k so you can get the 2.3L engine with AWD (starting out 39k) for about the same price as the base Q5.

Ummm people that are saying that this is a copy cat of the Macan need to get their facts straight this beautiful unique design came out in January of 2013 on the concept ...identical to this design. This is solid entry and Im excited to see a comparison!!

They better do something about that rear legroom and overall space in the back seats, I mean come one....the New Toyota Rav4 has waaaay more rear legroom, be careful Lincoln and watch for what others are doing with their small compact crossovers

I feel like in this model, they made it work. I understand, the grill is disgusting on the otherwise, classy MKZ. But there is just something in this model, a very small tweak they did to the grill and it perfectly blends so well with this compact crossover.

We don't get Lincoln here but from this review I quite like it but if it came down to it it'd be an Audi Q5, the SQ5 in particular.

No question about it Lincoln will attract a lot of new customers. I can see a lot of existing Lexus RX owners being wooed by Lincoln dealers. Ford is on a roll

You're paying $15,000 more for the Lincoln name. Looks very similar to the Escape inside, just some small tweaks and badge changing.

I bought this (2.3 AWD) car used (1 year). It is a nice car. Very quiet and many nice options. The only option I didn't get was the THX stereo. I wish I got it. The factory radio in this model is absolutely garbage. It even had paper speakers. I spent a small fortune trying to get it to sound good. They should have put the 6 cylinder Eco Boost engine it it. I bet it would have got better mileage than the 22.5 I am getting now. This car could use the power also. Overall the car is great on a trip and in traffic. Room inside is ok for this car. They could have given more side to side legroom in the front (I am 6' 4") but I have been in other luxury compact utes that have even less. This car costs way too much new compared to some of the competition. I am looking for my next car but I will probably not have another one of these.

I actually like this. It's different I can't say that I like all of the Lincoln line up. The last lincoln I fell in love with was the last Mark VIII & that was back in 1998. It's seems that everyone is buying the same car now. For example I know Acura is a good car but nowadays I've see 500 in one day but not even different models all TL's or the Same with Benz or even BMW.i actually the other day got excited about seeing a new Volvo on the road..lol but its something different. I even miss Saab's anyone. I am getting bored with seeing the same car. Some of these cars that I've mentioned aren't as reliable as they used to be or really have never. it's more of Status. I love Cadillac and always will but Lincoln is doing it's on thing and I like that.

A solid offering from Lincoln, however, I'd prefer the Volvo XC60 over this with its torque-filled 355 lb-ft turbo 6 engine. Now THAT's a Sports Utility Vehicle.

James Morris James, it's not mega priced. It gets good gas mileage 25 w/ a v6 and like 28+ w/ a diesel? Grand cherokee comes with a top notch ZF 8speed trans NOT a 9 speed. You're mistaking it for the Cherokee. The WK(Grand Cherokee) is a phenomenal SUV and the Germans even benchmark the crap out of it. (yes, i say the germans because lets be real, they make the BEST cars on the road. The MKC just shows that it wants to be German) the MKC wishes it could be as good. I like the MKC a lot but totally different cars. Grand cherokee ALL DAY LONG over MKC. Sorry, a bit annoyed you're bashing the GCherokee lol.

First of all this car isnt in the srx class, caddie doesnt have a car in this league, second lexus and acura have versions, even Car and Driver said the new lexus was only a dressed rav4 so this car has more power, panoramic roof and great power and the wood, leather and build quality aint cheap!!!

The platform isn't "Cheap" yes, the platform is from the escape (one of the best selling small SUV's on the market), but the similarities stop there. It sits lower, stands wider, has an exclusive engine, completely different interior and exterior styling, the interior is completely different materials (The bridge of weir leather is IMHO the best leather on the market right now). Not a cheap car, and after driving one I can say it is worth every penny!

Give Lincoln some time and they eventually will get there. When Lexus first came out, the LS looks like a wannabe Mercedes Benz. Lincoln have better designers than Toyota/Lexus. Toyota, Honda, Acura and Lexus has some of the ugliest vehicle lineup in the industry. However, the quality is there which often means repeat buyers.

The Acura has no body contours, the hood is completely flat and boring. I've driven both the Acura RDX and MDX on a track as well as the MKc, and I could not spin out the MKc, I easily spun out the Acura's, as did the gentlemen who was my driving partner for the day.

uhh lots of luxury car companies - including cadillac - use 4-cylinder engines. Caddy offers the 2.0T in the ATS and CTS, BMW has a turbo 4 in countless cars... so whats up? This is also meant to be a CHEAPER alternative to other luxury brands
