@@jceess Plan on spending $1,500 to have the intake decarbonized in about 50,000 miles.....direct injection engines have this problem, Hondas 1.5T is one of them......also issues with fuel going into the oil which causes oil dilution

Just bought the ex-l. Love it. Never had a cvt transmission but it shifts just like a regular automatic. I wouldn't even know the difference. For an economy car it is very quick.

If you want that weak CVT trans to last, change the fluid every 30,000 miles, dont go by what your manual says it won't last.

I just purchased a 2017 Honda Civic EX Sedan back in November. So far I love my new Civic. I did test drive the Civic EX and EX-T. At the end of the day, I've decided to go with the EX. What's nice about the LX and EX Civic trims is that you have the option to add some Honda Accessories. For example if you want fog lights on your Civic LX or EX, a better spoiler that you like over the lip spoiler that the Civic Touring, EX-L and EX-T have to offer, some good all season floor mats and other stuff, no problem, Honda Accessories has you covered. I did have a wing spoiler, fog light kit, illuminated door sill trim, cargo net and all season high wall floor mats added to my 2017 Civic EX. I bought all my accessories online at College Hills Honda. I had College Hills Honda install the fog light kit and I had Honda of Mansfield install the wing spoiler and illuminated door sill trim. I installed the cargo net my self.

this is the only car i would buy. i love my civic and as long as they make em, ill buy em. these cars are worth their weight in gold and basically maintenance free well after u pay it off. The first 70,000 all u need is oil changes, brakes, and tires. (stock tires wore down pretty fast imo)

I just don't see a need in all the "luxury" features. I'm a simple guy who wants a simple car to love for the make and quality of it. I like base model car reviews because it shows me what the car has to offer without me actually going to the dealer and having to deal with multiple salesmen wanting to sell me the car. I mean people like you guys who do reviews like this and on the base models it helps me out a lot for the car decisions I make or help my friends make. I'm definitely old school and have an old soul but only a youngin! So thank you guys despite the yelled people do for the base model reviews.

I’m thinking of buying this car. But I don’t know if it has steering shift paddle for the sport mode. I really love cars with shift pads. I love the body build and the key start option. I also love the side mirror camera option. It’s nice and also with the fuel economy. I hope it doesn’t disappoint me.

Leather-wrapped is on (or at least possible on) the EX-T as well. Touch-sensitive volume on steering wheel, however, doesn't seem to be on the LX, EX, or EX-T.

Obviously this is for an overseas range of Civics but something seem odd about the transmission details here. The Touring and EX-T models are stated as having a 1.5L Turbo charged engine with a 6 Speed CVT Transmission. In New Zealand where I live, I've just taken delivery of a Civic Sport Sedan RS (similar to the Touring but without lane departure or the anti collision system) which has the 1.5L Turbo engine but with a 7 Speed CVT Transmission, 1 extra speed setting. Has the American model CVT got a lower spec CVT?

my wallet told me that I had to go with the EX ....no regrets.....the base 2.0 is also very fun to drive ..i-VTEC.....If Honda would have used their 6-speed automatic instead of their CVT my car would be perfect.....but I did take the EX-T for a test drive...awesome car also...you won't be settling if you go with the EX..I traded in my 13 Civic Ex and it still was definitely an upgrade...

Most people would say yes and stop at EX- T. All the dealers I've spoken said that the EX - L (A build higher than Ex- T) is mainly for the leather.

Hey Ryan! Lane departure alert and adaptive cruise control are standard on only the Touring. They are part of the optional Honda Sensing Suite for the other trims ($1,000). The rubber mats are a dealer accessory and they were $155 on our model. Thanks for watching!
