I finally got a chance to ride the revamped Fireblade. Is it good enough to dethrone the RSV4?

Audio is great with no wind sound and muffled helmet voice. This is excellent.

I got a 2018 CBR1000RR and in my opinion the bike has more than enough power for 99% of the riders out there. The electronics are amazing and makes the bike more safe to ride. The video is right on point and he doesn’t lie about anything

Simple and clean video. Straight to the point. Like it. Thanks.

Thanks! I reckon I'll keep doing this sort of video going forward

Straight to the point. It is in my opinion the best review of the 2018 CBR1000RR. I got one myself and you are correct in your observation. I am not taking my bike to the track therefore the base model is perfect for me.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! The only thing I would add to the base model is a quickshifter and that's purely a personal preference. It's definitely not needed. How are you finding yours?

@@GearDriven I love it and I want to let you know that your review was part of the reason why I got my 2018 CBR1000RR.

Honda claims 189HP and 84 pounds of torque. That is a lot considering the weight of the bike. The quality of Honda is unequal to any other brand. I have also a CBR650F and I had put over 16000 miles in 3 years and it also has delivered a performance that keep the rider interested

My honest opinion, good video. Maybe do this and end it with some riding that includes the bike sound and ride.

Hey cheers man, that helps a lot. I like this format but it definitely needs work. Next year I should be able to get some better equipment and do more of a blend between the voice-over style and POV stuff. Then it'll just be a matter of finding cool things to film...

I'd love to, just need to hunt one down that I can spend some quality time with!

If you like inline fours, and Honda/Fireblades in particular, yes. Within that realm the new CBR is awesome - but the RSV4 has more (subjective) soul. As an isolated bike though, the CBR is properly brilliant.

Would you buy one with your own money ? What were the cons of the bike ? Thanks
@GearDriven5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I would, although the RSV4 has a nicer engine. Cons, it's too powerful for commuting and normal road riding, really easy to get into impound-level speeds. You'd really want to take it to the track to experience it properly. The windscreen is too small too, didn't really do anything. I'd definitely add the quickshifter too. The newest one decouples wheelie control from traction control so if you could get one of them, you've got a bit more electronic freedom. Oh and Honda decided to switch the position of the horn and indicator for some reason. Other than that... No major issues haha. It's the most comfortable superbike I've ridden and the engine is a peach (if not a v4), it's a great bike

What is engine power control
@mateok153 жыл бұрын
In my understanding is like eco normal sport mode in some of the cars.

I love honda but 73% wot is absurd in the name of comfort and usability.

Fireblade look AMAZING but still down on POWER.... SMH
@GearDriven5 жыл бұрын
Agreed - although there's a new one rumoured for next year which should boost power quite nicely. 1100cc probably, to keep up with Ducati and Aprilia, with a new 1000cc SP2 for WSBK. Maybe even a new V4... Can't wait!
