Beautiful car, but it needs some more horsepower. I ran a best of 12.80@109mph in my old 1998 Camaro Z28 rag top with a six speed manual. Mods included a reworked air intake, muffler delete and a set of 4.10 gears on a set of 16" drag radial tires. 20 years later I'd think you would be running circles around my old 350hp Camaro.

I love this group. They have consistent good weather in S Georgia at low elevation and always test in cool air between 55-75 degrees and DA is around +500 ft above sealevel. Unbiased and not paid lime Motor Trend and Car & Driver,by the manufacturers to overinflate performance numbers to help sell the brand. Yes, I used to be a tester for one of those mags. This group produces realist numbers that will bode well for 85% of the country. Exceptions are E-town and ATCO.

Greg, I feel you, but this Motorweek testing bro, I wouldn’t be surprised if actually has a legit 113-14MHP trapspeed in the hands of another test driver..congrats on your 300 SRT8. Now go tune that 392 Bro, with full Boltons, & Tune my 370 6.1 SRT8 Challenger went from trapping @108.8mph to 114.5mph..the 08-10 6.1’s respond more to tuning than the 392 given that the factory Tune/ECM was extremely weak on the Challenger 6.1’s, but you’re 12-14 300 SRT8 will also benefit from throttle body, cai, full exhaust, 93-98 Octane, Tune, & a set of DR’s Keep in mind the 08-10 Challenger SRT8 is around 200lbs less than the 12-14 300 SRT8 392, & that’s before I removed another 90-100lbs of weight off of my car by Deleting the Cats, the suitcase muffler, & the resonators

Greg, Bro I just went to “Edmonds” and watched Carlos Lago run some acceleration test on this Lexus, & it turns out that you’re right. The average trap speed is around 109mph..when you can go check that video out. There’s something going on with the electronics in this thing, especially the hang up with the launch control around 2000rpm’s..the Aftermarket needs to get a hold of this thing

This car is incredible! Unfortunately, the Finnish carbon-emissions-based car tax means that the V6 hybrid version costs about $150,000. The V8 version is not imported at all, and with taxes it would probably top 200k.

Lexus has a new video up called: The Competition: A Lap Around Laguna Seca. At the 4:12 minute mark, they show an instrumented lap with a pro driver. They show 0 to 3.92 secs, at which point the car is going 27 mph. Oops.
