I special ordered my 2018 GT in the Spring of 2018 and arrived with three miles on it. It now has 28 thousand miles and have had no issues at all. Since my Mustang will never see a tack, I did not get the performance package and saved dose to $10K.

@@Red5oh Glad to hear you too have had no issues. My 2018 GT is actually my fourth GT I have purchased over the years. Since I work from home, this is one reason I average only around five thousand miles annually. I actually have a 19 Ecoboost and feel the same issues with the tranny and hard shifts. It definitely is a software issue. I do have a 21 GT on order. I got the Premium but without the digital cluster because I actually like the analog over the full blown digital. Wanted to keep that classic feel. I actually appreciate the overview of the interior given I don't think I ran into a video where they go over that. I may just buy some of those upgraded trim pieces and install myself. I'm very glad to hear you get 28mpg on highway. As with the gas prices increasing and this being my new daily.

Nice car. The 10 speed has its pros and cons. The manual will get the same fuel economy as the 10 speed. When my 17 GT was stock I had no trouble getting 27 MPG per the trip computer on the hwy at 75 mph in cruise control. Hand calculated it’s a little less Now it’s making 611 wheel HP and I still get 23-24 on rd trips.

i have been having some trouble with my transmission its doing some weird thing where the car stutters alot whenever i am cruising around 1-2000 rpms i am not sure whats causing that . i have taken it in to get looked at 3 times already but the dealership cant seem to find what the problem is
@Red5oh Жыл бұрын
Is it the engine doing it or transmission is hesitating to shift? If transmission then the latest TSB should resolve it. There’s some threads on mustang6g check it out for engine rattled around 2k rpm. I wonder if that’s what you’re experiencing

The cons are hard to get into and out of,the doors have to be fully open to get out comfortably,plastic interior,you would think the whole seat would be power,but it isnt,the heater controls are only thru the radio display,if the display breaks you can't direct the air from face,or feet,and the manual controls are only for defroster& a/c and the back seat is useless for anyone over 5'4",and getting into the back seat is hard as hell,I wish their was away you could keep the sport+ mode on all the time,once you cut the car off,it defaults back to normal,gas mileage around town is about 7 mpg cruising non spirited driving,the highway mpg isnt bad maybe 22 mpg at 80mph with cruise control on of course,from a dig the stang is slow in stock form,from a roll its fast,the sound system could be better,it should be wireless apple/Android car play,but it isn't.
@Red5oh2 жыл бұрын
Yeah there’s definitely some cons to owning the mustang gt. Keep in mind the platform is 7 years old at this point. Not sure what it could be exactly without hearing the sound. If you are easily able to replicate I would try a different Ford dealer as it should be covered under warranty.

I have a 2018 GT and I used to get a slight vibration in the rear of car at about 50 miles an hour when hitting uneven surfaces on the road. 2018 GT here. I have had zero issues with the car. It’s the 6 speed manual, and as much bad rap that the 6 speed gets, mine works flawlessly. The auto 10 speed is really nice, but I’m old school and prefer more driver engagement. Only one slight squeak in the dash when it’s hot outside that usually goes away after awhile. It’s only lightly modified, CAI, tune, larger throttle body, x pipe and Steeda mufflers. This car just rips. Almost too fast for public roads.
