I worked for a large USA Insurance Company for over 40 years, my major in college was Economics, minor was "Statistical Analysis" and seldom do I see a well done "Random Statistical Sample" made and published for KZbin or for any advertised product for that matter, but I will tip my hat to your very objective and scientific demonstration which has a clear outcome, also I predict this will be known as a "Rosetta Stone Study" that all who understand Statistics as a science will clearly see how valuable a blind study can be for finding the right club. Kudos and great job..Great Job and I just purchased a G 410 with 40 g Reg Flex shaft, played it twice and I am satisfied that it is the best driver for me. I am 72 years old and shoot in the 70's, Thanks for keepin my game as good as it can be...

Great series guys. Would love to see a similar competition targeting mid handicap golfers with a more moderate swing speed. Can't wait for that. My M5s came in at a C7 swing weight, really struggled with them. Put tape on them, got them to D0 and played much better. Love the series of videos but I don’t believe you should’ve changed the rules for the final. The drivers made the final in a certain way but then for the grand final they had to be weighted the same ? If they qualified having to be the same weight then you might’ve had 3 different drivers in the final.

Nice to see subscriber numbers still rising. For the difference between the drivers I think look and feel would pay a big factor for me as I’ve said before seen so many people hit the ping well but for me to much going on with the top of the driver and I personally don’t think it makes much difference. Nice to see if it could be proved if it does or not. But again video shows how a good fitting should go.

Great video. I really like the additional info in number of bad strikes. Wish there was a way to quantify it also as well as how often there was a two way miss. A consistent 20 yard only right is better than 14 left and right when really gaming a driver even though the second would be 28 yds total miss vs 40 in the first in your current algorithm

Great comparison. I’m having a tough decision between Epic Flash SZ and TS2 but I’m using different shafts so it’s hard to decide. I’m liking the CK Pro White 70TX in the TS2 a bit better than the Epic SZ with an Orange CK Pro 70. The Epic SZ cuts right thru the wind. The TS2 balloons just slightly but still goes far. I have a nice little draw with the TS2. The Epic I tend to get just a little snappy. I might move the weight to the toe like you did and/or loft it up to 10.5 from 9. The TS2 is a 10.5. I have a TS2 9 also I need to compare. I need to try the Ping 410 LST now!

Excellent job and the wild card takes it ! I think the g410 will be a great upgrade for mat mainly because of the movable weight and the fact that it seems to be less busy on top. Not to mention the fact that he probably knows a guy who knows a guy that can get him one pretty cheap

@juwadanah5 жыл бұрын

@clevited5 жыл бұрын
An idea for you guys. A lot of these launch monitors have very questionable flight algorithms, especially when it comes to modeling carry distance of low spin, high launch driver shots. I have always wished I had the time and resources to find out how far off they are. I was hoping to test doing either one of the following methods. Use Trackman outdoors, on a flat range, on a calm day. Hit driver with several players that can hit optimal carry conditions with their strikes. I would want to get players such that a range of ball speeds are covered. I would note the temp, pressure and wind if any at all (ideally as calm as possible). Other method would be to have a spotter out in the field and use a GC2 or GCQ to record launch data and actual carry. I really think the only way to get a reliable ball flight model is through lots and lots of empirical data. Would be interesting to see differences in balls if much aerodynamic wise as well.

Really enjoyed this series! Too bad for Ping that they released the 410 LST so late in the year and they missed my personal testing and were thus not considered - that doesn't mean I'm unhappy at all with my Epic Flash Sub Zero (it edged the M5 just slightly and the F9 by a bit more).
@painless47855 жыл бұрын
Great series guys. Wonder if any results would change if you went back and did this on all the brackets... My guess is it would change it a lot; Offline yards would never be the main factor if taken in a 1:1 ratio when subtracting from total yards.... Further, would really you use this table with total yards offline - total distance for your fittings Ian? Why or Why not? Don't you think premium on offline yards should be more than 1:1 ratio? or maybe less if someone can hit a club 250 (higher offline) vs 220 (very accurate). Just thinking out loud.
