I just installed the engine guard on my 2020 Africa DCT. One thing I would change is after the bracket is bolted on. Do the engine guard next while the manifold is still off the bike. The reason is the right side engine guard there’s a small 10mm short screw that screws inside the bracket to one of the holes on the front engine guard flange. If the manifold is bolted on. You will have a hard time With that small inside screw. After the bracket and engine guard is all together tight. Proceed with bolting back the manifold with the two new header gaskets provided.

You made it look so easy thank you for this video. I printed out the Honda instructions and they tell you lower the muffler , remove the tool box disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, disconnect LAF sensor, and looks like two header gaskets to change etc. I have the 2020 DCT Africa, also my upper crash bars ( light bar) on back order dealer talked to Honda and said ETA November.

Yeah, the battery removal is an industry standard for any repair. Especially when you are disconnecting anything. It covers their ass I guess. Not necessary but doesn't hurt.

The factory instructions include installing the brackets for the bars. That requires lowering the exhaust.

I haven't received the fog light bar yet and my AT being a North American bike, I can't do the factory fog light install. Once I get the bar, I'll do that video and do a set of after market lights. Light bar is back ordered until Nov at this point.

@@SkyhookStudios Are the upper guards actually guards from Honda or just light bars as described on the site or are they actually both? Just picked up a 2020 and working on my order list of everything you have installed. Just wanting to know if they are actually crash bars they have?

Have you had problems with the gas tank yet? When the temperature is hot out and You’ve been riding your motorcycle 100 miles the coating inside the tank starts to flake and plugs the fuel filter and pump. Happened on my first day of my 10 day trip to Yellowstone.

It has not happened to me yet. I'm just north of 5k miles. I've ran a bore scope down the tank and I see where it has flaked off so far but I can't get a good shot to the bottom. In a few weeks I'm going to remove the tank and pull the assembly myself.

I did but the recall isn't to replace the tanks. It's to clean and check.

@@SkyhookStudios Yeah they did a little overkill on mine. Clean the tank replaced the fuel injectors replace the fuel pump and they did the filter
