I just went through this whole process on a 2012 beetle 2.5. Had a code pending for P0106. Sensor was filthy. But one of the small hoses below the throttle bottle air hose had its clip broken off. Moves easily. Could that cause an error too?

so i just replaced my diaphram and the map sensor. i haven’t checked if the code will go away yet but i noticed that the diagram wasn’t ripped at all yet there was still oil in the intake manifold. im wondering if you have any insights as to why that might be?

I have a problem, because the electronic throttle body is burning the relays, I have already checked the wiring and it is in good condition, I have changed several relays and they continue to burn, what is the cause of this?

What would happen if you bypassed the canister, vented straight to the filter behind the tail light and left the canister integrity valve/switch unplugged?
@SkyhookStudios
@SkyhookStudios 4 ай бұрын
You would set a code. Open circuit code for the unplugged valve.
@ntme9

@@SkyhookStudios So after off-roading in CO on some bumpy trails for 9 hours straight after getting off the trails almost immediately two things happened I got to check engine light p0452 which from what I understand means the integrity valve is stuck closed which would make sense because the other, when I would fill up with gas I had to trickle the gas in as there was a lot of back pressure. Next day We were on the way home back to TX so I just pulled the integrity valve so it wouldn't take 15 minutes to fill up every time we stopped for gas. After 4 fill ups and 800 miles I've had no check engine light with it being removed, unplugged, and bypassed . 2010 jk sport. I took the integrity valve apart, it's just a continuity contact switch on a suction pad behind the round spot is on the white plastic part. A cylinder plunger that goes up and down just allows gas vapor to go in or out which subsequently either makes the continuity contact when air pressure is higher on the vent (white) side and lower on the canister (black) side.

So, admittedly, I should have looked into this more at first. But I feel like you should have led with your second comment. It sounds like your original issue was a venting problem that you solved by removing the ESIM? The ESIM is normally open and will only close if there is a clog issue during purge.
@ntme9
@ntme9 4 ай бұрын
I guess I'm still in the experimentation stage as I just today opened up the integrity valve to see what's actually going on inside, just curious if any surprises lie ahead even though iv successfully had 4 fill-ups and 800 miles with no code, It's hard to believe bypassing it works especially how annoying these venting system issue can be sometimes.
@ntme9
@ntme9 4 ай бұрын
@@SkyhookStudios I'm still unsure how the system knows if it has a leak or a bad gas cap that's not sealing.
