Hi Rennie! Have you been able to compare the Ducati to the new ZH2? I wonder how you'd feel about the acceleration of both bikes... (and the comfort level ;) ) ; I haven't ridden the Streetfighter yet but had a short 30 minute ride on the Kawa... I found that bike extremely comfortable (extra weight not noticeable on the street) and the acceleration extremely impressive... without having to wait until 8-10k rpm for the power to kick in.

So you liked it Rennie??! When I rode our local dealer's demo I was really impressed! Mine is on order and due within weeks, can't wait. Thanks for the review!

Would the Ducati 2020 Streetfighter V4 S be a good choice for riding around town with traffic? Is it comfortable for someone with an inseam of 30 inches?

In real road use is the low and midrange (actually it’s all low end at speed limits with the speed these things can do in first gear) stronger on this or the KTM superduke? I guess the Ducati top end power will win a high speed track day but what’s better on a twisty road with friends. Vibrations? Heat? Real world testing. I’m use to the smooth grunt of my ZX14R nowadays (have a ZX10R as well) and find almost all bikes I test lacking power where I want it. But the 14 is a heavy porker and the idea of a light grunty naked is appealing. Waste of time having to get to 10,000rpm before the power kicks in like Superbike’s as you have to be at 120 before the power comes on so no fun on a tight back road. Really want to see a comparison of the two if you get the chance 😀

The Super Duke has much more bottom end than the Ducati. Both bikes are extremely comfy for a six foot tall rider, and the Streetfighter is a much, much better proposition with regards to heat than the Panigale. No bodywork takes out a lot of the heat that plagues the superbike. The vibes on the Ducati are minimal against the old V-twin motors. You still get a little tingle in the bars, but it's nothing to worry about. Certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. You're right in that the 14 is a heavy porker (your words, not mine ;)), a modern nakedbike like the SDR, Streetfighter, or even the MT10 (one of the most underrated bikes ever in my book), would be a nicer thing to live with day-to-day and still smoke most bikes when it comes to twisty roads.

Just in terms of pure fun (not performance), would you take this, the Tuono or the new Super Duke?
@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, they're all so close I'd have to ride them back-to-back to give a proper answer. I'm a sucker for the KTM, though.

Great review, Rennie. Any word on Pikes Peak this year? Still happening?
@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
Pikes was canceled after Carlin's accident, so no more bikes, just cars. Really sad. Glad you liked the video.

Would choose Mt10 over this and buy a car with the left over money lol
@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
Hard to argue with that.

Hmm very sensible and the MT10 is a beast but that Ducati though...

Thoughts compared to the new KTM SDR?
@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
It's so, so close to call. I might be leaning slightly towards the SDR, simply because there's more torque down low and it doesn't rev to 14 grand, which is pretty unnecessary for a street bike. But damn, that Ducati is f**king good.

Been trying to convince all my buddies to skip the v4 sf and get the sdr v3 ..cause i bleed orange 😎 But hearing you still lean on the superduke makes it more legit..bring on the comparos !!!

How does it compare to a Tuono?
@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
It's significantly quicker in standard form. But the Aprilias chassis is brilliant. I'll have to put them against each other to give you an honest answer.

@@cyclenews Can't wait for this comparison. Once I'm back in Oz, I'll be making a decision between the Ducati, Aprilia and KTM.

That'd be sweet, although it doesn't need much more noise, that's for sure!

Nice review. Although it just seems too much of everything imo. I think if Ducati do a V2 Street fighter, that'll be the one to go for, on the road at least.
@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
You're right there. A V2 Streetfighter would be the perfect mix. Ducati really need to build that!

@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
It wants to wheelie, for sure, but the chassis balance is excellent, as are the wheelie control electronics. They have come such a long way now that you hardly notice it working under hard acceleration. But it'll wheelie, you bet.

Why ducatis are so expensive to buy and it is expensive to maintain? ducatis are the Sexiest bikes. They need to launch some 300cc or 400cc motorcycle.
