Well I’ve been an R1 fan forever. I’ve owned 2 of them and about to buy a third. The best bike on the planet is the BMW S1000rr hands down. I just can’t spend $20k on a bike.

@@fabienwade27 RS has M50 calipers.. Stylima's come with new Speed RS. And I might have made a mistake in the video but M4.32's come with R model, not RS.

I got a 2019 street triple r earlier this year and couldn't be happier with my decision. It really is a perfect balance of comfort and performance. I love the way the new trident looks and would jump on the opportunity to ride one, but there's no way I would give up my street for it.

If you ride in the city you would trade. The STR has more power yes, but the Trident’s instant torque down low puts the STR on the trailer. The Trident has much more low end torque which makes it more fun to ride legally IMO. You need to rev the snot out of a STR to get power.

Good job, and appreciate your honesty. For me the street rs model...but, I don't like nakeds. I currently own a Honda CBR 600rr and absolutely luv it! The most dynamic engine I've experienced in my 40 yrs of riding motorcycles. The handling is ..well just amazing. It's a keeper and will remain in my stable...God willing.

Nakeds were founded by sport bike guys who crashed them and decided to run them without fairings.. so yea, full fairings do look much better.. that being said.. the appeal nowadays is that they are upright but still have the character / power of sport bikes without being uncomfortable.. it’s grown on me tbh..

Does the trident feel fast enough for an experienced rider not to get bored?

I've had the Trident for 2 years and would recommend it. I've been riding 13 years all together and can tell you there are very few times that I thought a different bike would be better. It has plenty of torque and plenty of speed. It’s easy to go well over 100 MPH, maintain that speed as well as reserve in the engine to push it. You can’t beat the price point for what you get, in my opinion.

Yes, I am looking Into it. The problem is that no dealer allows Japanese bikes to be test ridden... How do you get around that or is it just the dealers around me that are like this?

You said it I had a new R6 in 07 got ride of it after couple years getting back into riding and bought a Trident love the bike lot I just wish it had more power started looking at aftermarket stuff for the difference in price could had bought a street triple and had more power than I'll ever get outta the Trident thinking about trading haven't decided i also hate tge headlight on the triple always have

@@booshting3520 You are right the bikes are completely different in terms of power, style etc, however, it would be helpful to understand to whom these bikes appeal. Currently, I've got R3 and sooner or later I'll be on the hunt for a bike, so for me, Trident can be a boring bike or a perfect one, while MT-09 can be intimidating or a fun bike to ride. As the owner of a channel has mentioned many times that not everyone can afford a few bikes in a stable so that a choice should be made wisely. Also, I like the way the reviews are taken with comprehensive explanation and the emphasis on to whom the bikes appeal.

I absolutely loved the street R when I test rode it 2 yrs ago but would wana know how the trident rides and then decide. But most likely would go for the trident bcoz I know I'd never really give the Street R justice to its specs in India's riding conditions. Also will be coming back to riding after many years and won't be riding it as much as I'd like due to frequent traveling for work. All these things considered, the trident suits me better.

I was going to get a Trident but the dealership had a deal on their last Street Triple R so I ended up getting the street instead, just for a little bit more than the Trident. 😂

Neither. You can find GSX-S750 for a steal. Trident occupies the 650-700cc naked streetbike class, regardless of cost. Or horsepower for that matter. In that class the choices are varied from a torque focus or a horsepower focus. Depends on the intended use and what the rider prefers most of their riding habits. MT-09 is now 890cc and 119 horsepower. It's sitting in the sub-1L naked class, near the top (in SP trim). It competes with the Z900, 765RS, CB1000R (yes, it's low on 1L power), Duke 890R. Of course cost is sort of all over the place in each of these weight/power classes.

There is no comparison between the trident and the street triple The power diffence is probably obvious. The Trident is more mundane. Muted throttle. Brakes are not as on point as the street. The only thing these 2 bikes have in common are they are both triples, they sound roughly the same. and they are made from the same company. Comparisons should be made between the mt-07 and the trident. or the mt-09 and the street.

Why not the Streety S? The R has the 765 engine like the RS (i love my bike) and the S has 660ccm with 95hp?!? That would be the better comparison.

just so you know (not sure if this was already commented) you stated a very wrong fact here. the street triple r vs rs is basically just the brakes and suspension in terms of difference. saying the brakes are the “exact same” is not true. the new (2024) rs has stylemas and the generation before has m50’s in the front. they are definitely not m4.32’s. that said, m4.32s are very very good brakes that even ducati isn’t afraid of putting on their panigale v2. however, i wanted to point it out because installing brembo stylemas onto a striple r would be more expensive than just buying a striple rs. and then you get the ohlins stx40 shock & the extra few hp.

Of course Street triple R is better in terms of characteristics . One minus of R is outdated 10 years old dash panel. I have Trident and i love it, it's great motorcycle.

The only bikes in Triumphs sporty bike range that are completely outdated is the Street Triple... its disappointing because in 2020 when they redid the front and the TFT dash, they could have redesigned it like the Trident / Speed... come on Triumph!
